I've been thinking about overdosing for a while; please don't give responses about why I shouldn't I just want to know would the least painful way to go is just take an oxy 80 and drink a ton of alcohol? (I've only ever taken an oxy 10 before so my tolerance is almost non existent and almost never drink) or is there any other better way?

PLEASE KEEP ANONYMOUS

I tired purposefully overdosing a few times and really bad things can happen if you end up not being successful.

You can pin limbs, you can end up brain damaged, many worse outcomes than you're currently dealing with.

I tried jumping in front of a train and the train had just enough time to stop, I had a counselor that took me to see a guy that wasn't as lucky he got his legs amputated and was stuck in bed for the rest of his life.

Things happen for a reason and even your pain right now may be for a reason, don't give up....the best times of your life may be ahead you'll never know if you quit now.

^this. Particularly how it is much, much more likely to end with you in significantly more emotional and physical discomfort than you currently are (or than you might be able to even imagine).

We do not allow threads on 'how to kill myself' but we encourage threads to get support for whatever it is in your head that is convincing you this is the only way. What in your life needs to die in order for you to not exist in such pain?

I know that pretty much nothing anyone says ever changes your mind, if it did there'd be a lot less suicides. I don't know what's going on or anything so I can't comment on your situation and obviously I'm not gonna tell you what drug would be the best to kill yourself with, so I guess I'll tell you about /r/SuicideWatch. Personally I hate almost everyone on Reddit but suicide watch is a bit different. I've been on there a few times and although I usually just get abuse and people telling me how much of an asshole I am, most people aren't an asshole and don't get that treatment.

You might also find yourself a fair amount of satisfaction in anonymously helping other people with their problems. Basically someone (or you) makes a post saying why their suicidal and you (or someone else) respond with advice and opinions. I've spent hours talking to people about their problems and you genuinely feel good about yourself when you talk someone out of it.

Other than that you may find that real life volunteer work helps too. Working in soup kitchens and homeless shelters are great experiences. I get my guitar lessons at a local homeless shelter - I guess it's an occupational therapy for them in a way, plus they're making some money out of it. Even giving money to a homeless person in exchange for service can be helpful when you feel shitty about yourself.

Anyway stay strong man, and take a trip to suicide watch if you need to talk, or PM me if you want but I'm not gonna promise that I give good advice
