i did a dancesafe test and mine was like INSTANT black -- as soon as the liquid touched it -- and seemingly after a few seconds took on a very deep purple hue. stayed very dark.
probably mdma, i know.. but theories abound about how to distinguish from mde/mdma/mda by the speed and order of the black/purple.
best way to tell i guess is the roll, but if you're not very experienced it's nice to be sure.
any of you have guesses about these results?
 
seems like someone who has a lot of experience with testing would be better at answering this.
to me, it seems very strange that you'd get a total black, then purple result. maybe there's some kind of black intermediate that's formed instantly, then forms a purple final product more slowly. that's my explanation; what it means, i'm not sure.
(it could also be some extra ingredient)
of MDA, MDMA and MDEA, you would expect MDEA to undergo condensation with formaldehyde at the amino group (i've read evidence that this occurs) more slowly than the others. so if that condensation is the rate-limiting step, then a slow change to purple may suggest MDEA.
as always, no way to know for sure. all that you can conclude, of course, is that your sample contains at least one MDxA or some compound that reacts the same way, and possibly something else.

i have very little experience with x, but was wondering maybe if I relay the experience maybe people can tell me what they think it was. seems to fit the description of MDMA, and not that of MDE or MDA. just curious in light of the (slightly) odd reagent result and the occasional speculation that one can tell WHICH MDxx it is (whether it's MDE or MDA or MDMA) by the speed and sequence of color change... obviously best way to tell is the roll, but I don't have much experience..
it felt like this:
*very empathetic, people were cool -- i liked people a lot more than usual;
*i was very talkative
*lights were very nice
*colors brighter and prettier
*occasionally jiggly eyes
*no visuals or hallucinations, with the exception of halos around lights and tails on lights later in the roll
*felt a lot of energy
*pretty happy, the world seemed very cool
*very introspective and open, talked to my girl a lot about our relationship, some great stuff
*liked touching her, but not very sexual feeling
*up for about 3-4 hours then felt as if it was dropping off. slept pretty good (very slightly agitated, but not much) about 6 hours after dosing
*slightly happier than normal the next day, no bad aftereffects
in light of the reagent test (black then purple) and my "roll" i am very inclined to think this is MDMA and not MDE or MDA but i wanted some more input due to my lack of experience and interest in the way the reagents behave with MDMA variants (mdxx)

Sounds just like MDMA to me, and pretty clean at that (you mentioned not feeling cracked-out the next day, etc).

that's textbook mdma =P
mda and mdea... well, you're actually pretty unlikely to get mdea but mda seems somewhat common. the main difference seems to be that they last longer, have less stimulant effect, and cause more hallucinations and nausea.
