Question testing liquid LSD with reagent testers

The testers say to drop the liquid on paper and place the paper into one of the plastic containers it comes with, then drop the reagent in on the paper. Would i be able to just drop a little liquid on a plate and drop the reagent into the liquid, or would this not work? Thanks for your answers guys!

What difference does it make?
Just use a small bit of paper towel or something

I would like to take out the extra step if possible.

but you aren't taking out the extra step. you're just swapping the paper towel for a plate

As long as whatever medium you use to "hold" the drop while you complete the test is WHITE, it shouldn't make a difference really.
