Question On Heroin and Itching

Okay, I know heroin releases histamine and this is the primary reason you get the itches. But is this normal?

I am a regular user, I insufflate. I've smoked and went through an IV phase as well. But I was able to remain nasal, probably due to the high quality around me.

Now three days ago I copped, used, the normal. Well, I accidentally used too much, as the next morning I had the worst rebound headache (amongst other symptoms) I've had to date. But what stood out was I was still itching like a mug. So I forced myself out of bed and into activity, hoping to metabolize the residuals. Well throughout that day and long after I could feel the last vestiges of the high slip away my itches not only persisted but got worse. I'm talking my legs, scrotum, forehead EVERYTHING was itching well beyond the pleasurable zone. I even developed some localized bright pink rashes, not sure if it was from scratching or a reaction.

My question is this: is that normal? As I've said I am by no means a veteran horse rider, but an no greenhorn either. I've never experienced THAT level of itchiness, Benadryl did fuck all to help. So I was wondering if maybe it was cut with something I was perhaps allergic to? Then again the only known allergen to me is amoxicillin lol.

Any ideas?

Try another antihistamine. See if the problem persists. Maybe switch your dealer and see if the same thing happens. Try a higher dose of benadryl. Gotta account for tolerance to that as well. We won't know if it's cut with anything unless you test your dope for cuts. Maybe it was cut with another opiate who knows?
