Well, I was never really addicted to IV use. I was, however, addicted to smoking roxicodone 30's off of tin foil. It got so bad, to where I was so addicted to it, that I would just smoke to feel and taste the vapor going into my lungs. At the same time, though, it would keep withdrawals at bay. During my addiction to smoking oxycodone, I did begin experimenting with IV. I began to IV oxycodone, and I began to IV dilaudid, 12mg (i think, it was the highest dosage). My IV phase only lasted about a week.. probably because I was already so heavily involved with vaporizing oxycodone. I did like the IV high, but it was just too quick. When you're so deeep in addiction with opiates, you don't get high anymore. When I would smoke oxy's, I could at least savor every hit I took, with IV, it was just poke, plunge, that's it, you feel normal. With smoking, you knew that it wouldn't get you high anymore because you were so addicted already that it would just make you "normal", but you attributed your addiction to the taste, and the feeling of that oxy vapor going down your throat. And it was the best way to savor it, let me tell you. Even if it didn't get me high, I loved feeling that vapor pass through my throat, and I loved that taste. I can still taste it today.
