Question for guitarists

A compressor, into a fuzz/distortion pedal into modulation , finally a delay pedal.

If the fuzz has enough compression, the compressor may be redundant.

A fairly typical chain. ;)

I have an Oceans 11 pedal and a Metalzone... No compressor or delay pedal tho. ?

I can't seem to really get a sound like either of the examples I posted, but tomorrow I may try switching the pedal order around.

The reverb is a type of delay so it may work in a pinch. Set the time long and play with the wet / mix value a bit. It needs to be a wash, not a hard delay.

Hmmm if you needed help playing smoke on the water I could assist maybe but not with this. :(

Hall reverb maxed out so you get max sustain and a little distortion. Hopefully the Oceans 11 has a long enough delay time not to slapback.

How can I get this kind of sound? Chorus and distortion?

Sorry nutty, no guitar, or related tech advice but with vocals; gargle with walnut shells and smoke a packet of major, daily - also be around nature but angrily so - try watching day time tv for multiple hours and then go to the forest and scream.

Holy shit! Reversed the pedal order and I think I've gotten it. Mod after distortion sounds SO much better than the other way around.

Surely, you mean 666? You've failed.☹️

Also, Don't spill wine on Gaahl's carpet. He doesn't reach for Vanish 😊

I got another question... Is it normal for your ancient amp to pick up a country radio station? I thought for a long time the mic was picking up the tv but it's actually my amp.

Every solder point in the signal chain can be a AM radio receiver. You need to ground everything and check your pickups to see if they are shielded against EMI. Invest in a really good guitar cord.

That's why touring bands have Power Conditioners. Even better is a Balanced Power Conditioner. But that is for studio applications.
