I don't exactly know if this belongs here, but these past couple days, when i've hit a vein(i'm almost 100% positive) I won't get any flashback, sometimes very trace amounts of blood will trickle in. I also have the problem of the county i'm in won't sell you needles with out prescription, and I don't always have the time to go get new ones in another county. So i'm wondering if it could be from using an old rig(i'm going to get new ones today), or if my veins have just had it(possibly from being pierced by old rigs). I've searched google for some answers and couldn't get anything about that. I've also known i'm in a vein cause sometimes when I know im in it, I can push the plunger down, and it don't burn or sting at all.

ive had this happen before, ive always blamed the rig, you know, possibly a bit of coauglated blood in the tip redicing flow or something. but ive registered before in a solid clean spot only to see the blood come in and almost start to spiral and curl. i would inject and be spot on, or maybe it wasnt directly in the vein and off to the side or something.

It's multiple veins, one time ill register, and then ill try to use that spot later on and it wont have no flash, or just a small trace. And some spots wont trace at all.

If it's an old rig, chances are it's clogged (somewhat, not necessarily completely) but even so, if you can pull up your solution into it directly without much pressure pulling back, theoretically it should be clear. I'd recommend switching to a less-used vein, and / or seeing if there's a syringe exchange program close by for you to trade in those old rigs at.

I've had this happen, the blood just barely oozing into the barrel, and it was always in veins I hadn't been very kind to, like using old rigs or not rotating sites. I figured it meant the vein was inflamed and blood flow was compromised, so I never shot into a spot where the blood didn't flash correctly. And the times where I knew I was in but couldn't register, I definitely didn't shoot. I figured if th bloodflow was that weak or whatever, something was wrong and it couldn't possibl be smart to inject somewhere I couldn't register.

Do you still feel it when you shoot somehwere can't register? I don't know, I've always been inclined to give that spot a break so I didn't end up ruining it forever.

I still feel it, but it isn't quick. I'm gonna try to find another vein, cause even with a new gear it wont register, I just have a hard time finding a new vein easily.

Also I've use this one that goes along my thumb, it registers but everytime I finish the shot, my hand and rest breaks out in a rash, and becomes extremely itchy for a few minutes, I guess it's an allergic reaction but on the veins in the crease of my elbow that never happened, guess my hands are more prone to reactions?

Finally after searching for awhile, found a good one that registers, on the upper thumb side of my wrist. The ones in the crease of my elbow, and around that area still trickle, maybe those areas just need a break.
