Question about Phenibut

I'm new here and I'm sure this has been discussed many times. What would be a safe dose of Phenibut to start out with? I am 60 y/o and have been on benzos since the 80's. I was on Diazepam 10mg qid for 8 years and doctor switched me to Clonazepam 1mg qid. I also take Gabapentin 3200mg/day, Vistaril 50mg tid, Dextroamphetamine 15mg bid and Hydrocodone 7.5/325. The Phenibut that I bought is in 250mg capsule. My question is, with my benzo prescriptions for 40 years will I even feel the Phenibut? I also read that if I do take the Phenibut that it will take a couple hours to have an effect. Any input is welcome as I don't know much about this. Regards @ Thanks

Phenibut works primarily on the gaba b receptors whereas benzos it's gaba a. IME the two don't have a cross tolerance. I would start low at maybe 500 - 1000 mg.

Although phenibut does have gaba a activity as y higher doses

You should start with 500-2000mg and feel an effect. Don't do 10 grams.
