Hey i took a little more than half of percocet 10 about two hours ago. Before that i had a couple shots of jack daniels an hour and a half to two hours before but didn't feel anything. I am now shivering and feel a little drowsy. i also had an oxycontin about a week ago without problem. Is this normal for percs? Thanks!

Hi,
You outta be okay. I don't know why you are shivering unless you have a tolerance and are dropping down. Could be a mix with the Jack. Opiates and alcohol are dangerous, but if you only took 5 + mg… you outta be okay. :)

I would drink some water, eat something

Thanks! Haha. I enjoyed A LOT the first 15-20min. Then the shivering started. 8) after a glass of milk I'm already feeling a bit better.

Good to hear! I used to shiver in withdrawal, and shake from overdose, when I took too many opiates. I'm glad you are feeling a little better, just be careful not to mix alcohol with opiates as they are both cns depressants.

Are perc 10's stronger than OP 10''s? Def feeling a lot better than earlier. The high feels so different.

Perc tens release 10 milligrams of oxycodone all at once whereas an OP 10 releases the medicine over 12 hours in tiny pulses. So perc tens will feel stronger but not last as long despite having the same amount of medicine. OP is time released oxycodone.

Maybe you were actually just cold? I don't know where you live but mother nature just took a huge winter turd all over where I am.
From what I gathered you're more on the opiate naive side of tolerance and dependence, effectively crossing withdrawal off the list. Both alcohol and opiates are almost unanimously associated with feelings of warmth so it's rather paradoxical. Drowsiness is absolutely normal, do you smoke at all? Inhalation of smoke can cause vasoconstriction leading to circulation problems which makes people feel cold sometimes.

Thanks guys! I was finally able to fall asleep around 930 in the morning and woke up feeling great. Just going to stick with codeine and OP's for now on.

I'm sort of thinking the same. After I wrapped up in a blanket I stopped shivering but every-time I moved they came back worse. It could have all been in my mind as well.
