This might be a stupid question but I really hope to hear the answer I want even though I'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen..

So I know meth depletes dopamine receptors when you're high, but what if the person's tolerance is so high, that no matter how much she does she doesn't get high, but she still continues to use because it helps her lose weight? Lets say about 5 or 6 hits a day.. And she doesn't feel a thing, no high whatever. She can still sleep every night and everything. Pupils don't even change in size.. I understand it's still doing the damage to her body, but would her dopamine receptors continue to be significantly affected even if multiple bowls aren't getting her high and she's only taking a couple of hits a day?

Again, sorry if it's a stupid question.. I'm assuming the answer is yes but I'm crossing my fingers for a no..

well I'm no neuroscientist, pharmacologist, doctor, or even a college graduate but it seems pretty obvious that yes it is still effecting your dopamine and doing damage. I'm sure meth is great for losing weight but there are alternatives that are a lot healthier.

The lack of perceived stimulant effects doesn't mean meth isn't working at dopamine receptors (technically dopamine transporters). Just means you have a very very high baseline tolerance, and good money says that when you stop you will feel like a slug for a few days.
