Benzos Question about klonopin xanax and tolerance

ok well i have been on benzos off and on for 12 years now yet have never experienced any wd's other than lack of sleep my question is most people say that xanax and klonopin are equally potent but i am pescribed both at 1mg strength. when I get my script i will abuse them until I only have enough fo 1 a day until my next refill. But with the klonopin I can take 1mg for a matter of 2 weeks then take the 10 extra I have at once and feel no effects at all. but when i do this with my xanax and take 10 I get pronounced effects why is this like this if they are equally potent

They're equally potent from a dosage standpoint, but, at least in my opinion/experience, xanax is much more addictive than klonopin.

Klonopin is also longer-acting than xanax, which would explain why you need to take more than one xanax per day. Tolerance to xanax also grows faster than tolerance to klonopin, but because they're both benzos they produce cross-tolerance.
