Question about a marquis test result

Hi,
I have the basic (marquis) EZ test kit. Now, i've tested quite a number of pills before this, and they have all turned a similar dark puple - black colour. Tested this pill today (red 3, has score on back with fair few white specks throughout) cut a small scraping off the pill and put a drop of marquis solution on it... and the results were quite surprising because every test i'd done before this, as i mentioned just before, had turned out okay. This time though, it turned into a dark orange colour. let it sit for about 30 seconds to a minute and it was still a dark orange with a slight black tinge to it. based on the booklet that come with my test kit, this indicates that it is a speed like substance. Sorta freaked out though, dunno if i'll take it. Even though the booklet says ORANGE indicates the presence of a speed like substance, is it possible that it is a K pill? Or would K not show up at all in the marquis reagent?

Marquis does not test for Ketamine at all. If you want to test this pill for K, you will need to get a Mandelin tester. With the Mandelin tester, Ketamine turns a dark orange colour, similar to Amphetamine with Marquis. Mandelin would also confirm whether the pill contains Amphetamine, as the Mandelin tester changes to a Blueish/Green for Amphetamine.
As for whether to take the pill or not - if it is just a speed bomb, I wouldn't bother. I personally am not a huge fan for speed, even when it is good quality (which in your pill it probably is not, as I am assuming the pill was sold to you as MDxA).
Again, if it was a K-bomb, which I doubt (going by your Marquis test result), I still wouldn't take it, I despise dirty K even more than dirty speed! =)
I would take the pill back to the source and demand a trade for a proven/tested MDxA pill - as thats what you paid for!

Thanks for your reply eroks, appreciated. Is that really a fact about ketamine though? Even though the Marquis kit says it doesnt test for ketamine, it turns orange in Marquis?

No no no, you have misread what I have written, which isn't helped by the fact that I wrote the above very poorly, and quite confusingly.
To summarise:
Marquis will not display Ketamine at all!!!
Amphetamine turns orange/brown with Marquis.
With the Mandelin tester, Ketamine turns orange, and Amphetamine turns greeny/blue.
Please do not think you can conclude that your pill contains Ketamine from your Marquis test - you can't! It is most likely Amphetamine.
If you want to test for Ketamine, please get a Mandelin tester!

Cool, thanks for that. My bad anyway. When i read your post the other night, i was sorta tired and misread what u wrote, as you said. Most likely some type of amphetamine, thats cool. I've never tried speed, and dunno if i'll try this pill. Might just hold onto it and get a mandelin tester which screens for ketamine. Thanks again mate.
