Methaqualone (Good ol Quaaludes)"
I was just sitting and remembering of a time when someone said to me that they had "discovered" a couple hundred grams of Anthranilic acid. They spoke of patents, and we mutually exausted our U library resources making sure that the highest quality product could be obtained with the highest yeild possible. When exact methods were finally all worked out, we lost touch and I often wonder what of the Ludes. I remember a fond day when an older friend gave me three RORER QUAALUDE 300mg tabs, he had been saving a decent sized stockpile (for a "personal stash" for a very long time, and was chipping away at it over the years) I had heard tales, and I found the stories were true. Those damn ludes were amazing, and it really breaks my heart to know that in almost ever country, they are illegal. Back to this friend. I thought, why isn't there ANY black market ludes? It seems as if for people of my generation if they have even ever heard of a lude, they will 98% sure never try one. Ludes aren't miracle pills, but as far as sedative/hypnotics goes these are my first pick, beating out fast acting injectable Barbituates with a bat. Valium seems so gentle and meek when compared to the mighty lude. Not even the benzo "Rohypnol" (flunitrazepam) comes nearly close. I remember when this man gave me these ludes he explained the scene of the era of the lude. 300mg Quaaludes weren't "hard" to find per se, but the market was the 100mg tabs. A 100mg tab could cost up to $5.00 if you were high and dry, but a 300mg tab NEVER went below $5.00, even in quantity, unless you knew a crooked Pharmacist or Doctor. This was the early-mid 1970's, $5.00 each. Just think about the market of today, and any price seems fair for a 300. $10, maybe even $15 each. You COULD charge anything because there is NO OTHER SOURCE! I think the world would be a better place (at least for me) if someone started pressing out Ludes instead of "E". The world has enough E tabs, but barely ANY ludes. How could we have overlooked a drug so wonderful alone, or in combo with other things. Damnit will someone please make someone someplace make the world some Ludes! Look up a synth, do it yourself if you can. I want to see those tart little tabs of careless dreams and roaming minds back again.
This is in the chem forum because I want to know why no one (that I know of) in here has ever made Methaqualone. It's not too hard at all, if you can make other things. Sure maybe you can't whip up a batch to flood the world in them, but at least a city here and a city there... How much would you pay for a pharmaceutical 300mg Quaalude tab?
