Purple hairs?

color of the hairs has to do with the maturity of the plant.
Red hairs means it was pulled at full maturity orange, and yellow etc mean they were pulled earlier which usually gives u more of a head high compared to body stoneage.

purple is caused by the bud being exposed to cold weather such as a frosting over night.

Bluelight: "What's 2+2 class?"

Me: "It's 4! 4! 4! 4! 4!"

Bluelight: "Anybody?"

Me: "4! It's basic arithmetic! It's 4!"

Bluelight: "Anybody?..... Any... body?"

Anthocyanin is the pigment. It's more prevalent when a plant is exposed to frost, but that is due to a phosphorus lock-out due to cold temperatures. Sure indica's display this trait more, as far as I know, but that is the answer. And as for the "hairs" (psstt..ils sont pistils) they do indicate maturity but they are not a good indicator of when the plant is at its most potent. The general rule of thumb is once pistils start turning orange or red en masse you have about two more weeks. Not only do you have the best cannabinoid ratio and the highest total amount, but the plants plump considerable in those last few weeks. But once again, the trichome method is the best method.

Amber trichs are generally thought to be amber because of oxidative stress and therefore a higher amount of CBD. Milky is generally though to be the best. Clear means it hasn't yet reached it's full potential.

"4!!!! It's 4!!! Pay attention to me!"

Peace,
