Each year, this time or there abouts,
The scorching heat fades far away,
And that icy breeze greets me once again.
I surprise myself every single year,
Realising that that reality's chill,
Made a smile crawl on my face yet again.
I don’t think that I enjoy the cold perse',
But there is an indescribable presence,
Something in the air that breathes out,
A new life, an indescribable "freshness"
Into the world that desperately needs,
A cold and solid slap in the face.
You can taste the purity as you breath it in.
Icicles almost grow inside your throat and lungs.
Soon the frost will start to form ,
On the grass outside my house,
Crunching then melting under my foot,
Disappearing, but back the next day,
Reminding me that there is always,
A fresh pure untainted goodness,
Somewhere in the world.
