Does anyone have any advice on the effectiveness or lack thereof when suffering from PTSD?

as far as I've experienced, only ritalin and it's analogues are the only drugs in the stimulant class that have helped PTSD symptoms in any useful manner. They simply help me focus on rational feelings when everything starts to go irrational.

meth is far too wild, powerful, and long-lasting; other amphetamines are likewise to blunt a tool for PTSD.
cocaine is completely contraindicated for PTSD.
ecstasy can be theraputic, but only in a safe, controlled environment, and only when used sparingly.

All are highly addictive, and its playing with fire especially with PTSD.

when i still had a 1/4oz of dope a day habit blasting and smoking, as well as having had ptsd at that time too I can say i ended up pretty out there. ive hid behind couches and thought people were going to do really horrible things to me even though i had a reason to think that might actually happen it was twice as intense as i should have taken it
mdma - not much knowledge on that one but i end up alright always, i don't do it often.
i'm too lazy to write much more ..to be continued

Do you mean the lack of effectiveness of drugs WHILE your experiencing PTSD? Or the efficany of these drugs from escaping PTSD?

Because i;ve been diagonosed with PTSD and I find that stimulants, especially coke and amp's aren't as good as they use to be, they don't seem as effective, as if im more burnt out now so they don't effect me as much.
