PsychoPharmocology or relative studies

So I am 22 now, and for all this time i have always been back and forth switching my majors / the topics i want to study. Actually most of the time i didn't even have a clue of what i want to study. But i've always had an interest in reading about certain drugs and how it affects the brain. Does anyone have any information on this area of study, what are the career options... just being a researcher? Also what is the difficulty level, i've always liked the idea of being a pharmacist but i don't think i am cut out for that much schooling. Any ideas?
