Hi,

I know Ive made a similar thread. But this time it is more specific : Are there contemporary psychs, that are 100% legal in AU and/or NZ ? What is the weed situation down there ? Are there unknown, safe psychedelic plants (does not have to be mentioned, but would be good to know) ? Thanks a lot for the info.

Cincerly yours,

a confused European

Are there unknown, safe psychedelic plants

Bit of an oxymoron there, my Euro friend.

Unfortunately, 'unknown/safe' sums up the drug experience in Australia. As in, we don't know what the drugs are or whether they're safe. I'm not sure there's ever been a more uncertain time to indulge in street-bought substances. The cheap and easy availability of Research CHemicals means you don't know if you're getting LSD or an nBOME, MDMA or methylone (if lucky), cocaine or god-knows-what.

I'm not sure anybody here will be able to give you a definitive answer, and I'm sure that there's no 100% safe answer. It's going to be a risk no matter what anybody says.

Be safe and have a great time.

A ton of the acacia species contain DMT and none of these are illegal, though of course the drug itself is. Morning glory's are legal and grown fucking everywhere. Things like San Pedro are legal to posses (I think) but illegal to consume. In truth, most good drugs are illegal down here. Its weird then that codeine is available OTC.

I'm not sure if the legislation went through on not but many of those plant types mentioned were going to be banned in Australia -

The existing schedule of criminalized plants include:

1. Any plant of the genus Cannabis
2. Enhanced cultivation of any plant of the genus Cannabis
3. Any plant of the genus Erythroxylum from which cocaine can be extracted […] incl E.coca & E.nova-granatense
4. Papaver bracteatum
5. Papaver somniferum
6. All fungi that contain PSILOCIN
7. All fungi that contain PSILOCYBIN

The proposed new schedule will include:

8. Any plant containing MESCALINE including any plant of the genus Lophophora
9. Any plant containing DMT including any plant of the species Piptadenia Peregrine
10. Salvia divinorum (Diviners Sage)
11. Mitragyna speciosa (Kratom)
12. Catha edulis (Khat)
13. Any species of the genus Ephedra which contains ephedrine
14. Any species of the genus Brugmansia
15. Any species of the genus Datura.

I think that was the one they tried to make law in QLD.

Lucky that Lophophora is a cactus and not a plant. You have to wonder who writes these up.

How would they possibly enforce the DMT law, its very abundant in the various wattles we have...?

That's what every one was saying when it first came out. There was another one that was thrown around for QLD that covered endocannabinoids in dark chocolate also.
