'Fraid I've skimmed through a lot of the responses because of the size of the thread.
This is a current interest for me. Man has always used psychadelics in an attempt of accessing the spiritual world/astral plane. I've done it myself also.
Problem is we lack the shamans to administer the drugs properly in this day and age, and psychedelics can become very dangerous and leave you open to psychic attacks from negative energies.
I'm currently looking into meditation and yoga to further spirituality without taking the substances.
