The Unity Consciousness
Hi there,
Just wanted to write a bit about the idea that there is only one consciousness.
Many people recognize the existence of consciousness/intelligence as purely a result of processes in the brain. While consciousness can be held in the nervous system, consciousness is not merely a product of our nervous system, but rather a fundamental quality of the universe.
In the right conditions, the laws of nature which govern the universe come together to grow intelligent beings such as ourselves. Many feel as though the laws of nature which grow intelligence are not intelligent themselves, and that consciousness is a superficial outcome on the surface of existence. The notion that consciousness is rooted in matter seems true at first glance without looking deeper into the laws of particle physics.
From macroscopic to microscopic the laws of nature become more compact and fundamental. Eventually at the microscopic level when all of the laws of nature become completely compact, there exists one fundamental unified field of all the laws of nature. This field is not material, but rather purely unmanifest potential particle. This fundamental energy field is a universal ocean of intelligence from which all surface diversity emerges. Functioning as an additional spacial dimension, responsible for the three which we are used to, the unified field at the basis of the universe is not unintelligent matter, it is rather a mind of seemingly infinite creativity.
The unified field is open to direct experience via certain altered states of consciousness. Quantum effects, such as the most well known proposal of particle entanglement in the brain at the scale of the unified field are thought to become active in these states allowing for the experience of this fundamental reality. The unified field has been known about for centuries in certain meditative traditions and entheogenic ceremonies, but remains unheard of to a great majority.
