Well Shroom season is coming back with force, and for those of you who know me and my psychedelic adventures, or have just heard the legends, I am a poorly man who needs either:
1) A melways reference

Just say that a friend of a friend or a friend just got back from Nimbin...
And I was looking for 2oz (48grams) how much should one pay?

Try searching for information on what environments mushrooms like to grow in (moist, shaded etc.) then look in places like that.
As for prices, isn't it relative? Don't worry about if the person is ripping you off, just consider if you're willing to pay that much for a good time. If not, talk them down. If you can't, walk away.

Fully agree with BT about the price issue.
I used to pick Blue Meanies around the area of Nimbin / Lismore / Ballina. Whatever you are willing to pay should be fine.
I used to eat them fresh, 5 decent size shrooms at a time.
Well worth the trip, but I'm now slightly worried about other Pyschcoactives than psilocybin in the shrooms.
LSD at a decent price is as effective for me. Different yes but in higher doses quite enjoyable and compramble to psilocybin / psilocin in shrooms.
Anyone seen DMT (not 5-Meo) going 'round Sydney or near?
 
Go pick them yourself. Picking an ounce takes about 10 minutes if you find a good spot.
Shtonk - mushies are a lot different i think to LSD, possibly better. The focus of the trip, emotion included in the trip, body sensations etc are different and definately noticeable and more/less enjoyable for some.
As for DMT, it's around the nimbin area i've been told

Hate to ask this. But are there any urls with pics on what to pick? I used to shroom but my friends always picked. I have NO idea on what to look for etc.. If you dont think this is right to put in the thread, feel free to email [email protected]

OK. I have to interject at this time to request that people take a different approach toward attempting to try psilocybin and psilocin. As we know, the policy of Bluelight is to distribute harm minimisation information, and not to provide a link between people and substances.
That being taken into account, on behalf of the moderators I request that people please use the web URLs such as:
to find information on what "climates and conditions" specific kinds of mushrooms grow in, and what kinds of mushrooms to pick. With a little research you can figure out where to look, or get advice from friends who regularly pick mushrooms. Hopefully this will avoid us having posts with people blatantly asking where they can get magic mushrooms from.
If you're curious you can surely find links within The Shroomery or hints on places you can buy spores and mushroom kits online, so we don't have to post these kind of sources here.
Bluelight's policy is to help people find information, not drugs.
If someone wants to create a FAQ of links for mushroom identification guides (particularly guides specific to our part of the world) and growing information we'd love to host it.
