I consider myself extremely educated in the world of dextromethorphan and its subsidaries, so you can imagine my surprise when I discovered trip reports of mixing the two substances mentioned in the title. These reports are all different, thus leading my research on mixing them to be inconclusive. This brings me to ask why these are mixed, and how they react with each other, for I am very interested in the effects. Please and thank you! =D

^ that's exactly what it is. It's not a choice to mix them. I cant imagine adding the pse would yield any positive result recreationally.

People will have a trip experience for everything; however the vast majority of users will find it dysphoric.

Yep, I agree that the reason these drugs are taken together is just because some cough and cold remedies contain both ingredients. Using DXM + pseudoephedrine products isn't recommended because there is usually a high pseudoephedrine to DXM ratio, so to obtain a recreational amount of DXM, you'd have to ingest a lot of the pseudo, which could be unsafe and complicated by the fact that you are taking both DXM and pseudo at the same time. I have occasionally heard of people taking this combo intentionally, but usually it happens when people pick the wrong type of cough syrup or can't or don't realize that they can get DXM-only ones. I have heard plenty of negative experiences with this combo and do not advise it. You can read the trip reports to get an idea of the effects. If you are finding that they are different from one another that is just because it affects different people differently and they are taking different doses etc.

I'm not sure if there's much else anyone can say on this topic, so I'm going to close it, but please feel free to PM me if you feel there is a reason it should be reopened or you have any questions or anything :)
