Psilocybin Mushrooms vs. LSD in terms of mental clarity

I've heard a great deal about both 'shrooms and acid, and from what I can tell, the former provides a very hazy trip with little mental clarity and poor cognitive functioning, while the latter provides a more focused trip with less of a "stoned" feeling. (To put this in relative terms based on drugs I have used: I've heard 'shrooms produce a feeling a lot like that of some KILLER-ass weed, while acid is more like LSA's more visual and generally more potent cousin.) Is this correct?

I've personally found mushrooms to be more chaotic and random than LSD. When I eat mushrooms, they can take me to any ridiculous part of the cosmos, whereas I feel with LSD I generally know where I'm headed. Just to give a little context I've eaten mushrooms about 10 times and acid about 25-30 times. And don't believe that my having more experience with acid is the reason for this phenomenon. I just believe that acid is somewhat more predictable as far as its theme goes. But as far as less of a stoned feeling, I don't believe that characterization to be accurate. I'm always stoned when I eat good psychedelics.

I would say both definitely enhance cognitive functioning.

With both drugs you're on a rocket ship to space. With LSD you're the driver, and with shrooms the passenger.

LSD makes me wanna walk and kiss butterflies, lots of shrooms make me feel like I'm super lazy and comfy.

^ Definitely. Mushrooms can make me feel a little anxious at larger doses, never gotten that from L.

I agree wholeheartedly with this assessment.
Mushrooms are different every time, and though there are around 5 or 6 certain "types" of experiences I usually end up having, "random and chaotic" describes it pretty well.
LSD is usually the same general "type"of experience.

I also like with cryptix said about driver/passenger - very apt!

For me LSD tends to be psychological, and mushrooms spiritual.

I have done each one at a full dose around 50 times. Love them both!
