Psilocybe Pajaritos... any good?

As far as I'm aware, they're truffles rather than mushrooms, however past that I have absolutely no idea about them.

Truffles are a kind of fungus which grow under the ground, this term is often incorrectly applied to the sclerotium of magic mushrooms. Sclerotium is a hardened mycelium which does contain psilocybin.

As far as I can tell though, P. pajaritos is a cultivar of P. mexicana. These mushrooms do produce sclerotium (not all species do).

I hope this helps, mycology is not my strong suit.

Truffles are a sort of underground mushroom, and the magic variety are renowned for the quality of their strength!!

Dosage wise i would suggest small rather than large to start off with....

Have fun and be careful !!!

Hi D,

How are the pajaritos? Do you like them and would you buy them again.

Best to ya,

- JIM

As someone's already said, they be fairly similar to P. mexicana. P. mexicana are alright; not too much difference from other truffle trips (very visual, strong body high but somewhat lacking when it comes to profound psychedelic lines of thought IMO). It's all about P. semilanceata and cyanscens!

I think these are called Dragons Dynamite and while truffles/sclerotia are normally a bit weaker than mushrooms (the fruitbodies themselves i.e. toadstools) Pajateros are supposed to be pretty much one of the most potent forms of sclerotia being quite visual and pretty intense qualitatively.
Still hard to compare to normal Cubenses or even Cyanescens/Azurescens. Probably not a match for the latter types.

Here in Holland magic truffles are sold legally ever since the fruitbodies have been banned. After that different sorts of types of truffles have been cultivated to meet the demand of milder and stronger trips.
One may argue how much difference there is between them but I have heard good things multiple times about Pajateros, from my best friend as well.

Well...

cannot ship this product to Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, United States, Norway, New Zealand, Hungary, Slovenia, Estonia, Portugal, United Kingdom, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, Sweden, Reunion Island, Italy, Croatia (Hrvatska), Ireland, Spain, Mauritius and Denmark.

And I don't think Pajaritos or Pajateros are on the menu I got this from. Assume this is the legislation for sclerotia in general. Frankly there's not many countries left ;)
(What the hell is Reunion Island)

^ A self governing French island somewhere in the Atlantic or maybe Indian ocean I think?

It's pretty fun shopping for truffles in 'dam, the boxes they come in have an effects profile with graphical bars for, say 'visual', 'mental', 'euphoria' etc. Last time I was there I munched two large boxes of P. tampensis, the body high and visual were very intense, but the mental aspect of the trip was weak compared to even a fairly low dose of P. semilanceata for me. Same was true for P. mexicana. The effect profile for the tampensis said it was strong mentally, this just leads me to believe that, for me at least, truffles are probably never going to come close to certain types of mushroom. I would guess it's probably down to low levels of baeocystin, which semilanceata and cyanscens have loads of. I need to try some cubes and some pure 4-HO-DMT to be confident of this hypothesis though.

The ideal composition of tryptamines is subjective as well as elusive and has been for very long. There seems to be a consensus though that truffles generally come up short compared to mushrooms (I would agree myself), I also find a difference between fresh and dried mushrooms, fresh being even more colorful, alive but also more immediate and profound.

Regarding the effect profiles they put on those boxes (which they have been doing with mushrooms before as well), I think that your expectation by reading those graphical bars can actually be a self fulfilling prophecy, different cubensis substrains were said to be varying in effect by smart shops but IMO this is just a marketing ploy.
I was all over the shroomery for a while and most people think that many shroom trips are loads different but that there can hardly be consistent differences detected between cubensis substrains besides potency.

There are only very few sclerotia producing Psilocybes used and most varieties are basically just not all that different. But there are some that can grow much much bigger and I have heard that Atlantis and Dragons Dynamite are somewhat out of the ordinary.

My point is still, take it with a grain of salt. And remember that potency varies between batches!

I would like to see homogenized (sub)types of mushrooms and sclerotia being taken in a double blind study on a significant scale to see how much subjective difference is left.
My honest expectation is that there will be little to nothing left, but I don't mean to demystify the whole choice of difference Psilocybes for you.
There are endless possible trips to be had and why not just accept that we are susceptible to placebo-like influence?
