Hello there! Haven't posted in quite some time. I recently have been pretty stuffed up for a while and it's not just affecting my nose but my throat and ears as well. I will be seeing an ENT but in the mean time, I bought some Pseudoephedrine from Walgreens. I'd like to know if it's totally cool for me to take this and hopefully you guys will know the answer. I'd like to avoid any potential interactions, harmful or non-harmful but potentiating, and just have the drug do what it's supposed to. This is what I take on a daily basis (scripts italicized):
Morning (immediate):
15mg Diazepam - no noticeable effect, exists purely as a maintenance/slow tapering mechanism from when I used to take Zolpidem
24 capsules (roughly 15 grams) of Maeng Da Kratom (this is what I'm mostly worried about)
60mg Prozac
Variable amount of caffeine
During the day:
NSAIDs alongside the kratom (this is all for pain control): Ibuprofen, Aspirin or Naproxen.
I might and often do sometimes re-dose with Kratom and 5mg of Diazepam (I'm allocated 20mg a day) in the late afternoon, depending on how I'm feeling.
Night (not always, but often):
Variable amount of alcohol, either wine or vodka - typically used as a sleep aid because I can't take Zolpidem anymore and I can't take something like Benadryl often, so being already dependent on gabaergics, this is the best, most easily obtainable choice (because Kava left me feeling sick and Valerian didn't cut it, leaving me with the horrible derealization symptoms that have stuck ever since I got off Zolpidem and my GABA receptors are not being binded to).
And that's it. So, is it okay to take one regular Pseudoephedrine tablet (I think they are 30mg) with what I'm already taking? If so, when would be the best time? I'm so tolerant to the Diazepam that I don't feel it, yet I still have concerns about the obvious problems there can be with stimulant + downer. My biggest concern is the kratom - does it potentiate opioids? When I used Benadryl before (to do the opposite thing, obviously), I found that not only did it make me tired but it made my kratom considerably stronger and not in a good way, in an aggressively unsettling and nauseating way. Now, Sudafed obviously has a completely different mechanism of action. I'm also told that it is not something that makes you tired like Benadryl (which really, really made me tired). Generally true or not?
Help would be appreciated, thanks. I'm not concerned for my health but I don't want to feel like shit again after taking opioids because of an interaction.
