Prozac+wellbutrin and MDMA

hey, hows it goin. well, i haven't rolled since june-ish? and i got on prozac. i want to roll for new years, because i have a bitchin party to go to and wanna have an awesome time. im also on wellbutrin.

my dosages are
prozac generic: 40mg
wellbutrin generic: 100mg


my question i guess is, will i still be able to roll on these meds? im guessing not, because SSRI or whatever, but what if i stop taking them for a few days?

i didn't take them today, and that would be 9 days new years eve of not taking them.

No. Unfortunately SSRI's (especially prozac) have such long half-lifes and need extended periods of time for there effects to be removed (sometimes taking up to months depending on how long you've been on them).

I wouldn't suggest taking SSRI's and MDMA together at all. Stay on your meds and don't give them up to take MDMA, it isn't worth it.

MDMA/Ecstasy (includes MDA, MDEA etc): It is NOT POSSIBLE TO ROLL while taking an SSRI! It is a COMPLETE and UTTER WASTE OF YOUR MONEY! Basically, SSRIs “block” the part of your brain where the MDMA needs to go in order to get you high; and since MDMA can’t get in there, you won’t be able to get high. You might experience some weak “speedy” effects from high doses of MDMA, but you will not be able to truly “roll”.
Do NOT stop taking your SSRI so that you can roll. First of all, even if you stop taking it for a few days, it is unlikely that you will fully be able to roll. It takes much longer than a few days for all the SSRI (and its metabolites and effects) to leave your body (read above under “metabolism”). Second, you can get VERY SICK (withdrawal symptoms, depression, etc) if you stop taking your medicine. I strongly suggest that you give up rolling while you are taking an SSRI.

Oh and I forgot to mention Wellbutrin.

You'll be fine combining that with MDMA as it is a Norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibition rather than an Selective Serotonin reuptake inhibitor.

alright, ill talk to my psychiatrist about dropping prozac and going to wellbutrin. thanks for the help


yea, i know, i don't like the idea of taking meds, but when im constantly depressed i don't want to be like that. the meds bring my mood up a little. and plus its generics so im helping a friends family business and i get them for ridiculously cheap.

Look for the underlying problems in your life that are makin' you depressed mayn, then you won't need the phunky pharms.

i know exactly what your saying though the doctors get a commission for prescribing certain meds, especially antidepressants like prozac, lexapro etc...
its kinda fucked up because from firsthand experience i can say that all fucked with me. antidepressants sucked the life out of me, i wasnt tired but never wanted to do anything i like to do like art and i didnt do anything for long while on them i wasnt me, and i was just happier to be off them. i think antidepressants for MOST are just some sort of scam for the drug companies and the government to make money off innocent people.and the widthdrawl is bad and i didnt even take them long brain zaps and shit.
life is just better now that they give me 60 .5 klonopin a month to take for my anxiety as needed and i hardly take them only when i really need em. i hate taking pills cause antidepressants left me feeling so shitty i dont wanna feel like that off any pill ever again.
