Sorry to the community for my barrage of threads. Im a desperate 18 year old, in a critical state.

I know you guys tell me to shut up and see a doctor, but guess what? I have, and it hasnt helped. Im currently on a three week wait to just see my primary, to talk and hopefully get a referal to a nuerologist.

You guys are basically my therapy, and I know there are a lot of MDMA users on this site, so its the perfect support group.

So I stopped taking Celexa, 4 days ago. According to a site I read, Celexa takes 3 days to leave the system. So now, day 4, im crying, have chills, feel sick to my stomach. Im back right where i was before the medicine.

Should I switch to Wellbutrin or Prozac?

I would talk to your doctor.

Celexa (citalopram) is an SSRI, and Prozac (fluoxetine) is an SSRI. Wellbutrin (bupropion), on the other hand, is not an SSRI, but an NDRI. They're both antidepressants but work in different ways. I don't know enough about you and your medical history (nor am I a doctor) to give you a solid answer, but I would imagine that switching to another SSRI would be the first step before going to a NDRI.

Because Celexa also posses certain anti-anxiety properties, I would recommend against a drug with stimulant-like effects (like an NDRI), as they tend to increase anxiety levels.

Again, I would speak to your doctor or another medical professional about this. SSRI withdrawal is serious and is best done with a slow taper. If you can't handle the withdrawal symptoms, I would continue to take your Celexa.

I'm going to edit the title of your thread to include the generic names of the drugs in question for easier searching in the future.
