i was wondering if i am on prozac for strictly anxiety, if i smoke meth will i recieve the same effects? cuz i know it has to do with seratonin/dopamine for meth.. im only about 3 weeks in and the other day when i was drunk i did ecstasy and still felt it.. also does this work better if i dont take my medication for a day or two before using?

if you got effects from rolls than you should get effects from meth..
i don't suggest stopping an antidepressant just so you can get high, you're on it for a reason and by stopping and starting again you are just screwing with your brain. It's bad enough you are doing rolls and meth, your brain doesn't need the excess strain from being on a med and then off and then on again.. you're putting your serotonin receptors on a rollercoaster ride..
but im not sure if those in combo with the prozac is safe, maybe serotonin syndrome could result? im not sure, someone else with more experience with stims will need to chime in on that.

it could be.. do you really wanna find out the hard way? i saw a family member taking their lexapro wrong during their taper.. instead of taking a 1/4 pill/day they were taking 1/2 pill every 2 days and they got horrible migraines and vertigo and had to be hospitalized cuz he couldn't even walk and i needed to carry him to the car to get him to the hospital.
Antidepressants are way over prescribed and doctors don't seem to understand what it could do to people if they don't need it.
I'm bipolar and was prescribed celexa when i was younger and went into a constant manic state and that is how we eventually found out i was bipolar and was taken off the antidepressants and put on the right meds. But that's me.

Whats up man. This post was enough to get me to join BL after a solid couple months of lurking. I was prescribed prozac for a mixed episode bipolar diagnosis a little over four years ago while I was in the heat of a quite seriously cocaine addiction. I really enjoyed to mood lift from the stuff, really helped out on the days I couldn't cop.
At the time I was doing on average an 8 ball a day, 5 or 6 days a week. Some days more, some days less, you get the idea. Anyways, one night after doing a little bit over a 1/4 oz i began to hallucinate. At first I thought there was something in the batch but called my guy (very honest and straightforward drugdealer, I was his best client and he would treat me with discounts, freebies, bottles of vodka, dinners etc) and he said it was from a batch I had been buying from over the last month.
Hallucinations were insanely vivid and I had difficulty recognizing they were not real. Well, hallucinations continued for about 5 days straight, crazyy shit, fear and loathing on steroids.
Finally checked in to the hospital, weened down with antipsychotics and a bunch of tests on my brain and bed rest. While that amount of coke can do crazy things, they told me the most likely cause was the prozac on top of everything else just flooding my brain with serotonin and dopamine.
It was a while before I stopped using blow. (i've been off of it over 3 years now) but the experience alone was enough to get me to stop taking any meds whatsoever in combination with even moderate use of rec drugs.
This might not be your experience--just a little warning that even stuff that is prescribed by a good doc for legitimate reasons and may seem innocuous, can really fuck shit up. Interested to hear how things go for ya brotha.
