I was just wondering if anyone else has been on an ssri and done H before, or if anyone knew if this was bad? I also wonder how they interact or if their combination stimulates a different thing to happen in yer brain or what Any thoughts?

based on my experience , I think the opiate high is slightly dulled when I take my prozac with opiates (i always forget to take prozac though) but no dangerous effects.
 
I've noticed that Depakote seems to also dull the heroin high to some extent.
Nothing major. I don't think any anti-depressants or mood stabilizers will have any significant interactions with any opiates, though.
 
when you say "dulls"...does that mean you just hafta do more to get good and high, or that no matter what you do, it's duller?
 
SSRI's can be safely taken with any recreational drug in my experience.
 
Dulls as in that increasing the dose still won't give the same level of euphoria.
Not that you still won't have fun. It's not THAT big of a difference.
As for taking SSRI's safely with any drug.. you're a fucking idiot. I hope you suffer acute brain damage.
 
yeah , DXM and SSRIS can cause you a problem not to mention these fucks out there trying to say that maois should be good to take with any drug because maois with make any drug "times 10" I sure as hell hope nobody believes this.
 
While you are right there are reported cases of DXM+SSRI induced serotonin syndrome this should be tempered by the fact that serotonin syndrome is rarely fatal and in fact the symptoms are in large overlap with those produced by recreational drugs. I have in fact taken DXM with SSRIs (though only like 100mg or a bit more as this was a test of preciscely this interaction) and noticed no problems.
While theoretically SSRIs can cause health problems mixing with drugs in practice I really can't think of any major health problems caused by mixing with SSRIs.
So please give this "fucking idiot" a citation showing combing SSRIs with some recreational drug produces brain damage in a significant percent of users.

Thanks fairnymph but just because you posted it somewhere else and it is in the FAQ does not make it true. Yes there have been several cases of fatal serotonin syndrome but personaly experience suggests it isn't that dangerous and I have seen no studies to back up this claim.
