This report was written in real time, as I thought it would be the best way to accurately capture and depict the experience. :)

After reading through BodhiSvaha33's "Rate the legal highs" thread I decided that I would give Benzedrex a try, being the stim lover that I am. I figured if this drug gets the same rating of "this is fucking legal?!" as PPT by him, it's gotta be at least worth trying. I have plently of stim experience, as a former cocaine and d/l amphetamine addict, so as you can imagine I was somewhat skeptical that this $4 inhaler has been compared to speed.

So I walked up to the grocery store this afternoon and got 2 packages, with the intent of doing one at first, upping the dose later if need be.

I just took apart the Benzedrex inhaler and cut the cotton into 3 parts and consumed it with water. I didn't have any lemon juice or other citric acid containing liquid, and I've read conflicting testimonies about CWE of propylhexedrine so I decided this would be the best course of action because hey - if I don't have money to buy lemon juice, I don't have money to buy more drugs. Gonna go wash the dishes while I wait for it to kick in.

Beginning to feel some pronounced stimulation, relatively mild in the whole spectrum of things, but easily noticeable. Just had my first lavender burp and actually really enjoyed it, tasty lol. Also feel a headache coming on but in no way attribute this to the drug, as I get them everyday due to my wisdom teeth coming in and being too poor to have them taken out.

Browsing BL, and I'm full-on high now. Euphoria is great, very amphetamine-esque. Listening to some breakbeats and dancing in my chair lol, I've rolled and not enjoyed the music as much as this. Granted, it was pretty shitty music. :p

Sweating slightly now, significantly higher and fucking loving it! I've had coke/meth/dl-amphetamine highs that weren't this enjoyable. Prolly just crap product, but still I think it should be noted. I've spent the last hour approx. listening to dnb and conversing on AIM with great interest and passion about whatever the subject of conversation was at the time. My thoughts seem more clear and concise as well as my stream of thought being much more lucid. About 30 minutes ago physical euphoria rushes began. Chest feels tingly and bronchial passages dilated, similar to amphetamine high.

Just smoked my first cigarette of the high, absolutely wonderful! Smoking goes hand in hand with stims in general so I guess it's to be expected but still kickass nonetheless. :D Unfortunately that was the last cig I had. :( I may be scrounging change for a B&M in the near future.

Still going strong. I've peaked a lil while ago. Feels like it may be wearing off a tiny bit, but minimally and slowly.

I'm still zooming quite well although the buzz is noticeably weaker. I think this is a good point to cut off the report, as with stims, generally after you peak not much changes. If I'm proved wrong by that I'll gladly edit, and I plan on doing an edit later to add in what time I finally come down. :)

Overall, I am EXTREMELY impressed with this drug!!!

I went into this experience with the rationale of "Man this shit is OTC, wouldn't be if it were as good as the hype I've heard. Plus it's $4. Anything, otc or not, would cost more if it really compared with illicit drugs.

Couldn't be happier to be proven wrong. :)

If you like stims at all I highly suggest you try this drug at least once.
 
Nicely written trip report! Especially good for real-time.

This is like the fourth positive report on Benzedrex I've read. I'll be sure to try this soon. Got any important advice for a for a first-timer?

My first time with this drug as well as my first time writing a trip report. I left it open in a FF tab while I wrote it and entertained myself w/ BL mostly when I didn't have anything to add to it.

The same advice applies here that does with most other stims I would think. Mostly common sense shit you know, don't overdo it, don't use it nonstop, keep stuff around to hold your attention ie good music or something to do etc) Only additional thing I'd add is keep some ibuprofen handy as you *may* get a headache, it's been known to happen in some users, and as I said in my report I don't think the drug caused mine cause I get em all the time anyway.

Still feel great, not near as strong now but at least a couple hours before I think about redosing. :)
 
You've gotta try taking a warm/hot shower next time, the entactogenic properties of this stuff are amazing IMO (at least for me).

P.S. advice for a first timer -- take it easy with this stuff, the high doses required tend to cause a very noticeable body load + blood pressure increase. I'd try a half inhaler the first time, altho almost nobody ever does. Cutting the cotton into very small pieces + putting it in empty capsules strikes me as the safest way to "eat cotton" (if you don't do an extraction).

Thanks for the advice, and Psychlone Jack, it was also a good first trip report.

I have some experience with stimulants. Mostly amphetamine and a ton of methylphenidate. I've never gone really crazy with stimulants, except for doing Ritalin every day for a month. It's pretty addictive.

Have you (or anyone else who's tried Benzedrex) also tried methylphenidate, a.k.a. Ritalin? How would you compare them?

And yeah, I was scripted Ritalin before, plenty of experience with that stuff. In all honestly, I'd rate the benzedrex high better than methylphenidate. While some might say ritalin has a more intense stimulation (hard to tell from what little benz experience I have) I'd def. say that this is WAY more euphoric.
 
Theres one thing you really have to watch out for, I forget what it is called, but cotton gets caught on the tiny little nubs in your intestine that absorb nutrients, and it can really fuck your guts up.

Try to find some way to get the liquid out without eating the cotton.
 
Very nice report, man... well-written. You should think about submitting it to Erowid.

I tried propylhexedrine twice. The first time was some euphoria mixed with really bad stimulation and all sorts of peripheral effects, and the second time was a day of hell in which I was nearly delerious and talking to my passenger seat as if I was having a conversation with my fiance, who wasn't there, and I both knew and didn't know it at the same time. I would not take it again... way too many side effects for me. The side effects lasted for a week in all, including 4 days of being able to pee only a little trickle after trying hard and because of this I had to pee every 20-30 minutes or less, all the time. 8(

And the cotton bits taste okay at first, but for some reason it started to get really nauseating, in a sickening sort of way, and the burps made me gag and nearly throw up, and now every time I smell a lavender air freshener sort of scent I feel nauseous a bit.

Hopefully you'll continue to react better to it than I do, though. :D
 
yeah man even if the high is better than methylphenidate, methylphenidates method of injestion (whether snorting,sublingal, or just swalling) is 10 times better than having to drink a tea like that. just my opinion tho
 
i would say that propylhexedrine is more euphoric than Ritalin (by far) and even Adderall. while euphoric, i find it has pretty harsh side effects, and it's not useful for doing school-work like the aforementioned drugs. its still ok to get stuff done around the house, but i mostly find it to be a purely recreational buzz. i find the euphoria usually lasts about 2-3 hours, followed by a few more hours of physical stimulation that can be a little overwhelming, i recommend having some benzos on hand. i find it to be very sexually arousing, and it enhances sexual feelings, but it can be hard to get hard (a lot like meth in this regard.)

overall, its not as good a party drug as meth and is less useful than prescription stimulants, but i would still take it over the crappy cocaine I've been able to get any day. in fact, its short duration and reletively little insomnia could make it a useful alternative to meth in some situations.
