Hey I am typing up some Jargin and just want to make sure I am properly defining LSD and DMT as alkaloids. I am just a little confused because LSD is semi-synthetic?

Is LSD an alkaloid from the Claviceps genus? Is DMT an alkaloid?

If not what group would these be categorized in?

How do you categorize Opiods like Oxycodone? Or any synthetic alkaloid for that matter?

Thanks I am writing a paper and need to get this correct.

EDIT: If synthesized LSD is not an alkaloid would ingesting ergot wine be considered consuming alkaloids from the genus Claviceps, considering this is 100% natural?

Everything you've named so far is an alkaloid. Really, "alkaloid" is not a very precise term, but it pretty much signifies "amine or amide group-containing active drug found in a plant".

alkaloid means "an organic molecule with a basic nitrogen atom"

Originally the term only applied to those compounds found in a plant. Not exactly a useful definition, but that is where it started.
