I tend to get high dosage opiate pills such as OC 40s, 80s, and Opana 40s, so in context with low tolerance I find myself either taking too much or taking not enough more often than hitting a sweet spot. This occurs because my tolerance is quite low so I have to break the pill down (which never breaks evenly) and eyeball my dose: when I take too much I'm sick for the day, and when I don't take enough I have to keep adding to the dose every half hour and end up wasting a bunch because of the diminished effect of latter doses.
I'm thinking about getting a scale so I could dose accurately. How ever I'm not sure how accurate the scale needs to be. I know that it is going to be either a milligram scale (.001g = 1/1000g = 1mg), or a centigram scale (.01g = 1/100g = 10mg). Therefore the accuracy dictates that they can be off by plus or minus 1mg for the milli, and plus or minus 10mgs for the centi. I'd prefer the centi if the centi will be good enough, the reasons being that I read (from reviews) the millis tend to discharge batteries quick, readings can be inconsistent, and a good one can be quite pricey.
I can't usually go even 3mgs of oxy over my limit without getting sick, so the reading should should be within plus or minus 3 mgs of oxy. Keep in mind that this is 3 mgs of oxy, NOT pill powder. I'm not sure what density of oxy is in an OC-40, but if it is close to an OC-80 (which I remember from another post to be 240mg?), then being a 1/3 active ---> 10mgs of pill powder would contain around 3mgs oxy. And since the centi scale is plus or minus 10mgs, this would equal plus or minus 3 mgs oxy, which in theory would be enough of a difference to make me sick if the reading is off by +10mgs of pill powder.
Does this make sense? Does anyone think that the centi (.01g) scale will be accurate enough to keep the reading within 3mgs oxy? Also I would like to be able to dose the small oxy 30mg IRs too like Mallinkrodts and Actavis/Amide (are these more or less concentrated that OCs?).
