Promethazine to combat nausea on Mescaline-containing Cacti

Hi,

IS this a good idea? Never taken Promethazine, but from what I gather it's good at preventing nausea but also has a sedative effect due to having an antihistamine component. The worry is that it might send one to sleep mid-trip.

Anyone had any experience? Better way to prevent purging aside from weed or dramamine?

never tried mescaline before, but drinking ginger tea and chewing gum cuts down on a lot of nausea on dxm for me

promethazine is a very weak neuroleptic (IIRC 10 fold lower d2 block the chlorpromazine) but none the less, that might affect your trip....how about scopolamine transdermal patch or dimethhydrinate first? or hell, add some punch with cannabis as an anti neausant.

Promethazine has been used as an anti-psychotic.
So just use ginger instead.
Scopolamine will affect, and intensify, your trip (have yet to try it myself)

Read it on "the Nexus", "in there" it is 2-3 stramonium seeds. That's also a very low dose.

I'd also recommend ginger tea as a good, non-psychoactive option. For stronger effect, make tea out of fresh ginger.

You should not defile a divine plant with some rotten antihistamine. Nausea is part of the mescaline experience.
