To cut to the chase I've been using a bit too much promethazine recently, 250-300mg a night at times. Just wondering if there were any recongnised long term problems with using it heavily like this, liver issues or the like?

I know how retarded it is to be using that much promethazine, no need to point it out. It's just the way things are at the moment and I'd like to know what effect it may be having if any.

Pleasethankyou!

Hi!

Long term use of Promethazine can cause drowsiness, blurred vision, dizziness; confusion, disorientation, incoordination, fatigue, insomnia, tremors, convulsive seizures, excitation, mania, hallucination, increase in blood pressure, heart rate, and decrease in the blood cell count. After use for some time, this drug will start causing nasal stuffiness and asthma like symptoms.

Hope this helps.
