how much of this is safe to take, and does it even have any recreational value before i down some? i dont want to take something that could potentially be dangerous, so please let me know

Hi. Promethazine doesn't have any recreational value whatsoever. Discard it

No recreational value, the promethazine will overpower any effects the DXM has, and antihistamine overdosing anything but a fun experience.

I'd say the promethazine's value lies in its sedative properties (if you need to sleep) and its opiate potentation properties.

^Exactly. 25mg is a pretty sedating dose. You can always start with 10-12.5mg and see if that works, but the highest you should go is 25mg.
