Why more people aren't disgusted by this is beyond me. Trump has been openly talking about this, and thousands of his followers are already planning it out. It's no secret, they are publicly documenting it and they're very serious.

"It is not enough for conservatives to win elections."

The plan openly describes how Trump wants to give the executive branch ultimate authority, how he will replace every single federal employee with his own, wielding the DOJ to prosecute all of his political opponents, and unleash the military on anyone who protests his actions.

This is absurdly anti constitutional, anti democratic, and evil. This is fascism.

Luckily building a dictatorship takes actual work and Trump is too much of an indolent doofus to pull that off

Maybe one of the Trump wannabes could pull it off but they seem to be suffering from a real charisma and leadership vacuum in the party currently. They’ve been doing nothing but striking out electorally since 2016 and somehow I don’t think things have gotten bad enough that “building an authoritarian dictatorship” looks particularly sexy to voters

I generally agree and I have doubts he could really pull this off, but it is the intention and rhetoric behind it that really disturbs me, and it should disturb everyone. The Republican party has gone from constitution absolutists to the party where the constitution is just an obstacle to their goals.

It is horribly dangerous and sad for this country.

I'm not sure about that. Trump convinced 40% of this country that the election was stolen, simply because he said it was with zero evidence. People go along with anything he says. We're talking about a man who might win the presidency with 72 felonies attached to his name. We're talking about a voter base that believes democrats kidnap and eat children for adrenochrome. I wouldn't underestimate what the MAGA base would vote for.

and in the end, enacting this plan is not really about what voters want, is it? They are already planning it out, it's not like they're going to hold a vote to see if people want it to happen.

The very first line on the website, "It is not enough to win elections", implies they do not intend to abide by the rules of democracy.

D.C. insider warns of 50k 'army' of Trump loyalists descending on D.C. if he wins

During an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Axios founder Jim VandeHei followed up on his own reporting from Monday morning about a growing "army" of Trump loyalists who are being vetted a year before the election with a plan to descend upon Washington D.C.

Speaking with co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, the concerned-appearing Axios editor pointed to the piece he co-authored with co-founder Mike Allen as he described the efforts to recruit Trump supporters who would take over running the government after the purging of career federal officials.

Using his reporting that, "Hundreds of people are spending tens of millions of dollars to install a pre-vetted, pro-Trump army of up to 54,000 loyalists across government to rip off the restraints imposed on the previous 46 presidents," VandeHei painted an even darker picture when speaking to the hosts.

"We always get sidetracked by the rhetoric that Trump uses." he began. "He is being very, very specific with us about what he's going to do."

At this point I think a trump takeover would benefit the country greatly
Let’s call a spade a fucking spade…the democrats have proven to be complete dipshits, at this point in time if your still saying “I’ll vote for Biden again before trump” you are just a team whore

MAGA will welcome fascism with open arms. Do you even understand what Trump is threatening to do?

You're OK with Trump suspending the constitution, becoming a dictator, and removing people's constitutional rights to protest and free speech, all because Biden sucks?

The founding fathers would be ashamed. What Trump wants to do goes against everything this country has stood for since 1776.

You can't be OK with that and call yourself a patriot.

and you don't view yourself as a team trump whore, right?

if somebody who plans to vote for biden is a team biden whore how, logically, is somebody who plans to vote for trump not a team trump whore?

you are just as tribal as those you criticize.

You can't be OK with that and call yourself a patriot.

amen.

branded a traitor by a corrupt government while people suffer more then they have in decades, financially and otherwise…what does that make you ?

Look mal, I was watching home alone 2 last night, guess who popped up around the middle, trump, for a little cameo…and he has done that in countless movies in the 90s , then he had a insanely popular tv show…people loved trump, up until he ran for president , then the media machine put all its resources to ruin him, trump is an American hero, make no mistake

And if you remember the first big “trumps the devil” was the grab them by the pussy right around the me2…y’all have been bamboozled

Doesn't it bother you that Trump doesn't actually believe in any of the shit he says? He just wants to win. And he'll say or do anything he thinks his groupies will react positively to.

His followers certainly take what he says seriously. That website looks pretty serious. Jan 6th happened because people took his tweets seriously. Trump knows his minions will do his bidding. He even called for a "citizens arrest" of the judges the other day.

Even if he's just blowing smoke, it's not something a current or past president should be saying, it's disgraceful.

I'm not saying he's blowing smoke. I'm saying as far as his ideological values, he has none. His only goal is to obtain power and influence.

Yea well you guys also ran out and got vaccinated

Yeah I admitted I was stupid for doing that but will you ever admit to being wrong for voting for the pussy grabber in chief? A narcissist who is easily manipulated by flattery?

BTW who is the guy who fast tracked the vaccines and who still supports them?
You guys are having a hard time with that one, huh?
