Project 2025: Trump's plan for authoritarian takeover

I understand that’s what your favorite news tells you…

i'd love, for once, to see you drop this diversion and address somebody's actual point.

I was watching home alone 2 last night, guess who popped up around the middle, trump, for a little cameo…and he has done that in countless movies in the 90s , then he had a insanely popular tv show…people loved trump

then maybe we should elect tom hanks president? he's done some great movies and people seem to love him.

Yeah I admitted I was stupid for doing that but will you ever admit to being wrong for voting for the pussy grabber in chief? A narcissist who is easily manipulated by flattery?

amen @mal3volent .

donald trump is the only president in recent memory who suggested taking citizen's guns and asking questions later. he literally suggested suspending the rights protected by the u.s. constitution.

are you seriously saying you support this? will you own it?

Trump smears himself lmao
Yeah I never understood how anyone could think this man needs any help making himself look bad.

The dude spams schizoid ramblings in ALL CAPS at 4am every single night, says the most outlandish pussy-grabbing shit on national TV, compares himself to George Washington and Thomas Jefferson (he said he's better, actually), and paints his face orange.

But sure, it's an unfair smear campaign. Fake news!

Y’all are just victims of the most aggressive smear campaign by the media probably ever in history, it’s not your fault

this is not smear. he actually said these things...

donald trump is the only president in recent memory who suggested taking citizen's guns and asking questions later. he literally suggested suspending the rights protected by the u.s. constitution.

do you support his position on shitting on constitutionally protected rights?

Look mal, I was watching home alone 2 last night, guess who popped up around the middle, trump, for a little cameo…and he has done that in countless movies in the 90s , then he had a insanely popular tv show…people loved trump, up until he ran for president , then the media machine put all its resources to ruin him, trump is an American hero, make no mistake

So in this narrative Trump is a celebrated fixture of popular culture, propped up by the very people who…then suddenly decide that they hate him and will do everything in their power to destroy him? 🤔 Is that about right?

I generally agree and I have doubts he could really pull this off, but it is the intention and rhetoric behind it that really disturbs me, and it should disturb everyone. The Republican party has gone from constitution absolutists to the party where the constitution is just an obstacle to their goals.

It is horribly dangerous and sad for this country.

I'm not sure about that. Trump convinced 40% of this country that the election was stolen, simply because he said it was with zero evidence. People go along with anything he says. We're talking about a man who might win the presidency with 72 felonies attached to his name. We're talking about a voter base that believes democrats kidnap and eat children for adrenochrome. I wouldn't underestimate what the MAGA base would vote for.

and in the end, enacting this plan is not really about what voters want, is it? They are already planning it out, it's not like they're going to hold a vote to see if people want it to happen.

The very first line on the website, "It is not enough to win elections", implies they do not intend to abide by the rules of democracy.

He has seemed to be doubling down on his crazy talk lately, I’ll give him that

The figure Trump represents, the demagogue, is a natural and inevitable consequence of democracy, going back to the earliest accounts of societies that we could classify as somehow “democratic”, like Ancient Greece. But ultimately he’s just a cheap con man who likes to fleece people: his workers, his customers, his banks/lenders, and finally he rode the long con all the way to the tippy top and fleeced the American public. That’s what he’ll mostly be known for as the current era recedes from view imo. Now he seems to be working on fleecing the MAGA chuds who rub one out every night to fantasies of daddy Trump riding back into DC on a half-track wearing aviator sunglasses & flanked by tanks or something

So in this narrative Trump is a celebrated fixture of popular culture, propped up by the very people who…then suddenly decide that they hate him and will do everything in their power to destroy him? 🤔 Is that about right?
The media **cough** CNN **cough*** which is an extension of the Democratic Party started smearing him when he ran for president…look, sometime its hard to say “I fell for it” , I get that, but if you think the aggressive campaign they did on trump didn’t effect your opinion, well that’s just stupid , you are just a statistic the guys at the msm knew would hop on board, you are literally a predetermined outcome

They gave him billions in free advertising during early 2016, often interrupting prime time television broadcasts to cut to empty podiums where Trump was supposedly going to speak and letting the camera linger for about half an hour before Trump even bothered showing up. Oh, and Moonves (of CBS) and Zucker (of CNN) are on record creaming their pants over how profitable Trump was for their business model

With enemies like that, who needs friends right?

las veghost won't answer the question about trump's disdain for the u.s. constitution because, i have to assume, he can't.

snafu nailed it.

you can not be ok with what he said and call yourself a patriot, or even a responsible citizen.

so one has to draw the obvious conclusion.

i'd love to understand the rationalization.

alasdair

you're absolutely right snafu.

dodge... divert... insult... it tells you absolutely everything you know about the real answer to the question.

tom hanks for president 2024!

campaign tagline: "he was in a movie!"

:)
