Project 2025: Trump's plan for authoritarian takeover

record-low unemployment numbers for minorities)
wtf did trump have to do with this? lol huh??? the steadily declining number didn't change trajectory... it just continued the downward trend that had already been doing its thing since well before trump... and kept on going down (except for a spike at the end of trump/ beginning of biden) into biden. do you also thank biden for the still declining unemployment rate?

not to be a warmonger
i wish this meme would die. trump was NOT anti-war, in fact he was a pretty derned neocon president like all the neoliberals like him tend to at least somewhat be.

when did the american government do this? please be very specific... time, place, whodunit, etc.

They literally did it for healthcare workers. And tried to do it for everyone else they could but the Supreme Court blocked it.

Trump's enthusiasm and related consumer confidence thanks to deregulations had a broad positive overall effect onto the economy at the time.

Do you have any evidence please to back that up?

Trump with the authoritarian takeover to get back in the Oval Office? :ROFLMAO:

Heaven forbid we have another term with zero overseas wars started and cheaper gas prices.
Is Trump going to lower Indonesia and icelands gas prices also?

Because I get why Biden would raise gas prices for America because he’s a Marxist trans lover; but I don’t understand why Biden raised Iceland and Indonesias gas prices also. They didn’t do anything to deserve that.

I think when Trump gets in power he will lower our gas prices and raise China and Irans gas prices. Therefore helping to defeat our enemies by raising their gas prices so their countries suffer.

US Presidents of either party have little to no influence on gas prices. I don't know why people always think they do, but they most definitely do not.
Policies on drilling in the US pushed by Presidents AND Congress have some effect on future prices, but not anytime soon.

gas prices have increased but, as jasperkent and others note, it's pretty much out of the president's hands.

in an interview on tuesday trump said "Gas was at – gasoline, $1.83 or $1.86 when I left, a gallon. And now it’s at $7.70 in California, in different places in California, and it’s heading that way everywhere." which is pretty much complete and utter bullshit. all of it.

I agree with you but most of the braindead public doesn’t see it that way. They think pushing EVs and green energy immediately equals increased gas prices.

Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot with all these restrictions on drilling and forcing EVs and green energy (whose power all comes from fossil fuels anyways).

I get that it’s for the long term greater good.

But right now democrats have an election to win with a piece of shit criminal 90 year old animated corpse that can’t even speak as their candidate; against a lunatic that ; I’m sorry; is very highly skilled at winning over stupid voters with his rhetoric. Trump has explicitly states he will dismantle the constitution and send the military into major US cities which is going to be extremely ugly.

Democrats fucking around right now pushing unpopular issues like banning guns and limiting fossil fuels is not a winning strategy.

Democrats telling 60 percent of the public that lives check to check and is getting raped at the grocery store and everywhere else with inflation - that the economy is doing great, is a slap in the face to the working class.

The only thing they need to be worried about right now is winning against someone that will end America as we know it it. They need to STFU and stop with the anti gun, the identity politics, and the anti fossil fuel stuff for just one year.

You make several good points, but I take personal exception to one thing you said:
...green energy (whose power all comes from fossil fuels anyways).
I ride an electric bike nearly every day to&from work and stores, for an average of 15 miles daily. I charge it at home at a cost of about one penny per mile (yeah, I did the calculations).
Chattanooga gets the vast majority (usually ALL) of its electric power from the Chickamauga Dam.

So in a very real way, my e-bike is powered by the Tennessee River.

I just had to brag about that.

Carry on.

Yea I should not have said “all"

Thanks.

I do think we should be investing more in hydroelectric, solar, wind, nuclear, tidal, and geothermal energy...AND in more efficient battery and other power storage technology.

The oil lobbyists that own our governments don’t think so and that’s why we never will.

I don’t care too much about the environmental damage because I am have become one of those hardcore antinatalists that thinks that the existence of any sentient life that can suffer or feel pain is one of the greatest evils/mistakes whatever you want to call it: that has occurred in the universe.

It’s all going to end one way or another and it’s going to be ugly one way or another so burn gas all you want.

It’s more of an economic thing for me, when hydrocarbon fuel becomes so expensive vs other alternatives and we are forced to stay on it at high financial cost and thus produce more suffering and stress in humans - we should switch to cheaper and easier energy sources to lessen human suffering

I get that climate disaster itself will cause suffering; but so will any other way that mass extinctions happen - so some future humans are going to pay the piper one way or another and I don’t really care and it doesn’t matter which way it is.

But on the other hand Maybe whatever we life ends can itself be selected so that it is quicker. Climate disaster might be slow and result in a lot of suffering vs the earth getting knocked out of orbit and killing everyone pretty instantly or something

If I was god I’d blow up the sun right now and spare future humans of life and suffering. I don’t feel that any happiness and joy experienced overrides that because the missing out of that joy by a never existant being is fine and not a loss for anyone

Yeah... the fossil fuel bit is disingenuous as hell. I have a couple of friends here with Solarroof and Powerwall installations, which both charge their cars and power the houses. For most of the year, they actually sell power back to PG&E and usually only have to buy power from the grid in the winter. Another friend lives in Washington (the state, not DC) and his town is powered 100% by renewables, no fossils at all. And Washington as a whole never really crawled up the ass of the fossil fuel industry like most states (even California) have... renewables plus nuclear provide over 80% of that state's power, with natural gas making up most of the rest with barely a pittance (3%) of a coal infliction.
