Lol, is this common knowledge? Can't believe I haven't stumbled across this before, especially since I did have suspicions.

Four normal adult volunteers were given intravenous injections of 16, 32 and 48 mg cocaine, previous termprocaine,next term or saline, once daily in a balanced order. An additional dose of previous termprocaine,next term 96 mg, was also given. Heart rate, blood pressure, and responses on the Profile of Mood States (POMS), Addiction Research Center Inventory (ARCI), and a locally developed drug effects rating scale were measured before and periodically after drug or placebo injection. The profile of action of cocaine was significantly different from that produced by both saline and the lower doses of previous termprocaine.next term Although responses on the ARCI and POMS after all doses of previous termprocainenext term were similar to those obtained after placebo, three of the subjects identified 48 and 96 mg previous termprocainenext term as cocaine, and rated these two drugs similarly at the higher previous termprocainenext term doses.

Behavioral pharmacology of local anesthetics: Reinforcing and discriminative stimulus effects - Abstract

The reinforcing properties of several short-acting esteratic local anesthetics were determined in rhesus monkeys experienced in the IV self-administration of cocaine. In addition, the discriminative stimulus properties of these and several other local anesthetics of both the ester and amide class were determined in rats trained to discriminate procaine from saline in a 2-lever operant task. IV delivery of chloroprocaine, dimethylprocaine or dimethocaine maintained responding above vehicle levels in most monkeys while propoxycaine, piperocaine and dimethylaminoethanol (Deanol) failed to maintain self-administration behavior. Thus some, but not all, short-acting esteratic local anesthetics are positive reinforcers in rhesus monkeys. In addition, it is unlikely that the reinforcing effects of dimethylprocaine are mediated by its metabolite dimethylaminoethanol. In rats, all local anesthetics tested except piperocaine and procainamide resulted in responding on the procaine-appropriate lever indicating procaine-like discriminative stimulus effects for these compounds. In addition, injections of d-amphetamine resulted in principally procaine lever responding. All local anesthetics that were self-administered by rhesus monkeys had discriminative stimulus effects in rats that were similar to those of procaine. However, not all local anesthetics that were procaine-like in rats were self-administered by rhesus monkeys. These data may represent a separation of these two stimulus properties for local anesthetics although other variables such as species differences may play a role.

Discriminative stimulus properties of local anestheticsnext term in d-amphetamine- and prntobarbital-trained pigeons - Abstract

Pigeons were trained to discriminate either d-amphetamine (1.7 mg/kg, IM) or pentobarbital (10 mg/kg, IM) from saline in a two-key, food-reinforced drug discrimination paradigm. Cocaine, procaine, and lidocaine were administered before test sessions to determine if these previous termlocal anestheticsnext term shared discriminative stimulus (DS) properties with either training drug. Cocaine (0.1–3.0 mg/kg) substituted for d-amphetamine in all 4 birds from the d-amphetamine-trained group. Procaine (3.0–56 mg/kg) substituted in 3 of the 4 birds from this group, and lidocaine (3.0–30 mg/kg) did not substitute in any bird. In contrast, cocaine, procaine, and lidocaine did not substitute for pentobarbital in any bird in the pentobarbital-trained group. These results suggest that the DS properties of some previous termlocal anestheticsnext term may be similar to those of psychomotor stimulants. Further, although some previous termlocal anestheticsnext term may have sedative-like actions, apparently these are not the basis of their DS effects.

Also a series of Procaine injections helped calm my nervous system to almost normal. Procaine (Novacain) taken intravenously was the single most effective compound to raise my spirits and make me feel like a normal human being again. 2cc's of procaine in the vein is wonderful.

Thats crazy shit,,thats why procaine is used sometimes to cut cocaine,but having injected cocaine before I can't see that injecting procaine would even come close to the rush or high from cocaine..2cc's of procaine in the vein?!! thats 2 insulin syringes full,200 units,,thats a big ass shot,and it said it calmed the nervous system in the last qoute is what I'm refering to,if it calmed them down ,then it was totally unlike cocaine..lol
