m not asking for advice, and Im not sure which board this should really be on. Ive been with this pain mgt doctor for close to 10 yrs, Im also in KY, and thanks to new painkiller laws passed back in 2012, I now have to take random drug tests, My script (methadone) is due on Tuesday 9-2 this month, last year, and I believe the year before, the office has done my drug test in my birth month, I am considered low risk for abuse, so I only have to take it yearly.
This particular month though, I have a scheduled appt on 9-30, Im kind of wondering if they will hit me up for a drug test on the appt date, OR when I pick up my script, they have done both in the past, I know my office use computer software to keep track of fill dates, etc, so Im not sure if the system will hit me up for a script on the 2nd, or when my actual birth date rolls past, which is 9-10, I know they use birth date for keeping track of people, so Im not sure.
Last year, I had an appt on my birth day, and they had me take a drug test as well.
I apologize for this thread if its not allowed, Im worried because my new health insurance kicks in on 9-15, if they hit me up on 9-2, I will have to pay $300.!!! but if they wait til after my birth day, it will cost me nothing out of pocket.
