HERE'S one for George Lucas to fix the next time he decides to mess with the original Star Wars trilogy: Princess Leia's "coke nail".

Carrie Fischer's long battle with drugs is well known, mostly because of Fisher's inability to conduct an interview without referencing her days as a junkie.

She did a lot of cocaine while making star Wars but you'd never know it from her performance.

But one fan on Reddit has noticed something suspicious in Return of the Jedi: an overgrown nail.

The weird-looking nail can be seen in a scene midway through the movie where Fisher rests her hand on Harrison Ford's shoulder.

For those not in the know, a coke nail is a longer than usual nail that addicts use to scoop up coke for quick fixes instead of having to chop up lines.


the idea of Princess Leia with a coke nail puts the Star Wars trilogy in a whole new light.

You could read the saga as a spoilt little rich girl's attempts to get her dad to notice her: "Hey Dad, I blew your Death Star, touched up my brother and I'm getting it on with a smuggler while doing serious amounts of blow. What are you going to do about it?"

The junkie theory also explains why Leia was so quick to wear that metal bikini.

I'm not sure what part of this is supposed to be news, a well known cocaine user uses cocaine, or a girl with long fingernails?

she might want one of her fingers to for pleasuring herself without any sharp cuts down there. lol
 
Um, this isn't really that surprising.

Considering how Carrie Fisher said how when Star Wars was filmed she and other actors would get coked up or stoned before filming, and how back then and even now the people who didn't use drugs in Hollyweird were a minority.
