Prescription Question

Here's the situation ... I get a monthly script of oxy 15 IRs for my back problems. I have to go to the PM doc monthly to get this filled. They wrote me a 30 day scrip in late November, but there is actually 32 days in between my last visit and the one that I have later this week (cos of holidays). I just took my last one and don't go to the PM doc til Thursday. Would a pharmacy be willing to give me a one day supply to hold me over til Thursday? (And yes, I do realize that I should have planned better.)

I'm assuming someone may have ran into this issue before. Any chance of getting a 1 day refill from my pharmacy or am I just screwed til Thursday? Appreciate any and all feedback.

Well i hate to tell you this but they will not give you a one day hook up. Oxy is a S2 pill.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, that's kind of what I figured. I guess I'll just have to feel like shit tomorrow. Oh well, Thursday can't come soon enough.

I cannot tell you how many times I've run out early. Do you anticipate getting drug tested Thursday?
Methadone clinic is always an option if you have one nearby. Or take some immodium. I hate to see you going to your monthly visit sick.

if your bottle says NO REFILLS. the pharmacy cannot give you anything without a new script.[

g the the store and buy a box of immodium, take 20mgs of that shit and your physical WD wont be that severe. if you are only out for a day, i think you can make it! it might suck but it;s only for 1 day, then you get your new script!

hang in there bud! you could try to buy some kratom at a local headshop but if not stick with immodium!! kratom would work wonders for opi WD, but it doesnt last long!

Thanks for the input AND support guys. It's appreciated. I realize that I'm lucky that it's only one day. Just hope it passes by quickly. I don't know if I'll get drug tested, but it's possible. Seems like it's every 2nd or 3rd visit these days. Don't want any methadone, but I realize it was just a suggestion, so thanks. I just don't want to go to the PM doc sick looking. Hopefully the w/ds won't be to intense by that point. I didn't know that immodium helps with the w/d; I think I'll give that a go. Anything to not feel like death walking for 24 hrs. lol

I should have known better and planned accordingly. Shoulda Shoulda Shoulda...

This lady I get 15s from gets #120 every 20 days. He's given her the script early a few times. That was for a vacation or if the doc is going out of town but not because she ran out early. She only needs 20 of them cuz she can't handle that much and her cancer is in remission anyways.

The point is try to talk to your doc and say you gotta leave town or something and maybe he will give you your script a day early

If your taking your meds as prescribed looking sick shouldn't be a problem. You're physically dependent on what that doctor prescribed you. As far as i see it, it would be his fault.

This is one of those questions we can't really answer, it's pretty much just speculation. You didn't even say what country you live in, let alone what state etc, although I assume it's somewhere in the US. You can explain your situation to the pharmacist and ask, but in most places/for most pharmacies/in most cases they are not willing to give you any drugs that you don't have a valid prescription/refill for. See if your doctor has an "emergency"/off-hours line, and/or if you could see another doctor to get a Rx to cover 2 days or something. I'm going to close this, please PM me if you have any questions.
