I'm confused, I've heard recently that a lot of people do something called.. "doctor shopping." This is a term that means for one to go to various doctors to get pills, usually of the opiate family.
The reason this seems odd to me is that I thought that they had such an intense diagnostic technique at these places of business, that someone would NEVER be able to pull one on them and claim that they have something that they don't.
So what I'm wondering is.. Do people actually get away with faking illnesses/injuries to recieve pain pills illegally? And if so what kind of illnesses do they claim to have? I'm wondering purely out of curiosity because I work in the medical feild as an assistant (lightly of course) and all of what I heard.. this is just not possible..
