Prescription Hallucinogen?

Keppra is a heavy anti epileptic drug...

I think they misdiagnosed me, i had an ambulatory EEG and they told me to go about my everyday routine on the weekend. Ended up smoking a bowl and i think they took that for seizures....

But apparently it can cause bizarre hallucinations.

On day 13 of taking it i am feeling nauseous, dizzy, tired, and on the edge of crazy while behind the wheel of a car driving 85mph on someones ass screaming at them in rage....

On day 14 i was supposed to double the dose so i decided to just stop taking it.

ambien will make you say and do crazy shit, and from what i have told others i appear to have been hallucinating severely, the only problem is that i have no memory of the insanity....

ambien and other sleeping pills can be extremely hallucinogenic. If you can stay awake, that is. If you're trying not to sleep it's usually pretty easy unless you're already tired. The only problem with ambien is that, for some people, it causes moderately heavy memory loss.

I had a friend who had a nasty migraine while tripping on one hit of LSD. This surprised me because I always thought it was good for migraines.

Did you not see that episode of house where he induced a migraine of some sort then could only get rid of it by tripping balls? Good episode

Ketamine is really the only hallucinogen I can think of that is actually able to be proscribed. I guess you could count the delierient effects of ambien or zolpidem, but those aren't really psychedelic in the sense that we are talking about.

adderall, dex, methylphenidate and less commonly desoxyn and L-DOPA can all induce hallucinations if taken to excess.

Whats commonly prescribed for pain management?

Opioids, muscle relaxants, NSAIDS, tricyclics, gabapentin, ketamine. It depends a lot on the type of pain. For example ketamine is exclusively used for burns i think.

Anything good for a Herniated Disk + Arthritis? If I were to tell my doctor my pain has worsened which it has ..infact the pain not only travels down my hamstrings it's going down into the arcs of my feet ... any chance I could get something good?

What do you mean by "good"? Like something that'll make you trip? Medical marijuana would be your only hope I'd say. You might get gabapentin if it's nerve pain and that can be a little trippy if you use high doses but only the first time or two.

^ Vicodin (hydrocodone) is an opiate, but thats pretty much as far from a hallucinogen as you can get.

Actually madsci is correct. Vicodin is not an opiate, it is an opiate plus paracetamol preparation so it's more correct to say that it contains opiates that it is an opiate.

Remeron and other psychedelics can cause hallucinations as a side effect.

Some of the belladonna alkaloids may cause hallucinations though apparently they are not psychedelic. They certainly seem to be hallucinogens though.

not quite what you are looking for I suppose but radio-labeled DOI is used frequently as an indicator ligand for in situ 5-HT2a receptors in neuro/neuropsych research. if only it had clinical applications.
