Hi everyone,

I've been taking kratom daily for nearly 3 years now and before that I was on suboxone for a year and a half. Due to issues beyond my control, I have to stop entirely and have taken the rest of what I had. I've gone a day or two over the years but never more than 3, I don't think. Other than the usual aspects of opiate withdrawal, what can I expect? I'm especially looking for anyone who has gone through kratom withdrawal successfully for at least a significant amount of time (over a few weeks at least).

Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have not gone through kratom withdrawal myself - however everything I have read leads me to believe you should expect symptoms similar to that of stronger opioids, except on a much lower scale. So nausea, RLS, hot/cold/sweaty, insomnia, weird tingly annoying feeling in your skin, etc. Except more mild than oxycodone or heroin. Not a walk in the park, but not as bad as it could be, right?

You can get through this! Hot showers/baths, exercise, healthy food, and if you can get it then clonidine and gabapentin will help too. Even just taking a walk out in the sun will help more than you think. Good luck! :)

Hopefully somebody who has been through specifically kratom will see this and have some more advice.

We're you taking plain leaf or extracts? Plain leaf withdrawal should be a walk in the park. But if you don't have heroin/oxy withdrawal to compare it to then its hard to understand

The biggest advice I can give is to try to not psych yourself out. Mind over matter is powerful, and I know I've made past withdrawals worse by dwelling on the fact I'm gonna be sick and how much it's gonna suck. I swear it makes it longer/more intense

Whether its plain leaf or extracts it may give you slight w.d, but kratoms not illegal for a reason, so don't mind fuck yourself
