This is not about sourcing, or how I source. This is about HR and easing the pain of opioid w/ds. Sorry for the longish post - thought you all might be bored...
We've discussed the best pharmaceutical and homeopathic substances for mitigating the hell of (un)expected opioid w/ds. This is not an attempt to rehash those debates & threads as they are quite complete.
I'm preparing a package of materials that I am currently prescribed or have been prescribed previously and still have around and are not outdated for the purpose of helping get through a requirement to taper, having lost control of your supply or just not being able to score for a while.
Coming off opiates safely at my place using the materials listed certainly is HR compared to kicking with no medical support. This assumes I don't/can't get to a clinic to help me and my only resort is home care administered by myself.
Here's what I have put together so far, additions to my list would be greatly appreciated. I'm mostly looking for different classes of compounds, i.e., adding alprazolam isn't what I'm after, but if pregabalin is better than gabapen I'd like to know that one (I don't know those well at all):
#90 300-mg gabapentin
#20 1-mg clonazepam
#10 8-mg Suboxone
#50 25-mg diphenhydramine
#30 0.1-mg clonodine
#100 2-mg loperamide (only for gut problems not as an attempt to cross BBB)
14-grams CO medical marijuana (hybrid and indica strains)
2 x sterile wound care kits from my syringe access program to treat sores & abscesses until a health care professional can look at it.
This kit is in a combination lock box, although I don't have kids, though I certainly have some "friends" better spelled "fiends"
I'm thinking maybe add:
DXM (it scares me personally)
other mu-receptor agonists with mild effects for after the subs are used up or as an alternative.
Kratom, PST?
Tramadol?
Trazodone?
The point here is to help myself and others interested in doing what I'm doing - create a first resort opioid detox 'first-aid kit'.
I encourage comments about the usefulness of this approach and if you folks think it's worthwhile.
Thank you.
