Hah! Wouldn't work here in QC (we're such nazis 8) ) I never got a flu shot, especially since how Canadian shots differ from the American ones. They use mercury and other stuff to "cut" the original vaccine to make 5 shots out of 1. If americans are scared of their flu shots, they shouldn't move here for the healthcare. I could bring out all the documentation regarding this, it was on a well respected scientific tv magazine a couple years ago, already a bunch of time after I knew about it. All I know is that the "adjuvents" hmm, it tells me its not a word in english, but whatever is the word for "makes a medicine stronger", like atarax is an adjuvent to opioids...I remember their list being one massive turn off.ee

Yeah, very little of that is true. I would urge you do familiarise yourself more with what mainstream health professionals say and ignore any of the whacko anti-vaccination propaganda sites.

Here's the facts of thimerosal in Canada - it's no different to any other first-world health system, most vaccinations DON'T contain thimerosal, those that do use it for a reason, and thimerosal has been demonstrated time and time again to be perfectly benign:

Whatever you think of it, I'm not part of a vulnerable population, neither is this nurse who is about my age. Didn't get the flu since 2010. I expect bad flu every 5 years and it's not anything Hycodan syrup, tylenol, water and a lot of rest won't help during the healing.

I don't really care about whether you get a flu jab or not (unless you work in a hospital) but the whole point of the nurse thing isn't that SHE is part of a vulnerable population, it's that she works WITH vulnerable populations for probably upwards of twelve hours a day. By not getting vaccinated she is reducing the herd immunity that would otherwise protect said vulnerable populations.

What I do care about though is when people spread misleading and false information about vaccines and vaccine additives that might deter people from getting vaccinated in the future. That is a huge problem. And thanks to people like Andrew Wakefield and Jenny McCarthy - who knowingly undermined public trust in vaccinations - we are seeing the return of previously eradicated diseases like measles and even occurring in the community again for the first time in fifty years. That is a real fucking problem.
