Hi! New here but just have a question about pregabs as I’m new to them.

Does anyone get a fast heart rate on them? Been googling round and it seems a few people do but it’s uncommon? Anyone else have experience with that?

Im laying down right now, very relaxed and my hr is 90. Not gone below 70 all day (I’ve been high since the morning). Been in the high 80 to 90 range for ages now. It’s usually in the 60’s? I do get episodes of tachicardia though so maybe it’s the drug interacting with an existing issue, I intend to see the doctor soon.

Was high yesterday too and it was mostly in the 70’s but got into the low 90’s at night. For context I did 300 yesterday and then kept redosing until I did 750mg. Today I started with 600 and redosed 300. Want to do another 125 which I have ready to bomb but want hr to go down first. Know these doses can cause seizures but not having bad myoclonic jerks or anything (a couple with my hands but not bad ones, also stuttering a bit cause my tongue seizes up occasionally).

Anyway my main question is how often could I do pregabs without developing any dependence or tolerance? I’ve read a bit of the megathread and withdrawal seems horrific. Could I do once a week? Twice a week? I’m very new to this drug.

Also this drug has got me curious about phenibut and ghb which I’ll likely try both. Are they cross tolerant? If I did once a week would that dodge and slow dependence built with those too?

Sorry if I should have posted In the megathread, it’s just intimidatingly long.

I never got increased heart rate.

I did get brain zaps with oregabalin and also with ghb.

Tolerance to any recreational effect of oregabalin develops extremely fast. It’s not an everyday drug to get off on.

Ghb on the other hand does “get you off” every time you use it even if you abuse it and do it every day. But you’ll need to increase doses.

phenibit can be decent but has a very nasty hangover

As far as withdrawl it’s strange. I used oregabalin for 2 or 3 years straight dosing daily 200 to 500 mg per day for my pain and would abuse it maybe once a week or twice a month (doses into the thousands of mg). Whe I stopped cold turkey I had zero withdrawl and was not on any other gabaergic drug.

I seem to have a orettt good resistance to getting dependent on gabaergic drugs though relative to other ppl I know.

But I also take opiates so that might help mask any minor withdrawal I might have had

To be fair I’m coming out of a bad depressive period of several months and have gained weight and been inactive — haven’t exactly kept track of my resting hr during it. Gonna log it while fully clean and see how it compares. It’s settled a little now, though I’ve done an bit more (low to mid 80’s)

Today definitely hasn’t felt as good as yesterday even though I’ve done a lot more so I see what you mean.

I didn’t know phenibut has a comedown? Does pregablin? I felt fine when I woke up but immediately did more and I know it hangs around a long time.

Since I’m a recovering alcoholic (still do some drugs but off the drink for years), ghb sounds really appealing. Only thing is it sounds really difficult to dose, do you know any good resources for guidance on this? Everything I’ve seen says it’s really easy to od on it? I do my drug use alone (was fully clean for a few years, don’t want anyone to know I’ve relapsed though it’s not full blown —atleast yet) so wanna be careful.

I always feel like my heart rate is faster on them, at least at recreational doses.

I recommend taking the jerks as a warning to be careful, though. I've had seizures twice in my life and gabapentin is the only potential cause I can point to. Both times happened on the 2nd-3rd day of abusing it, continuing to dose despite the jerks. Keep in mind that gabapentin is the meek little grandma to pregabalin, in that it's both significantly weaker and significantly shorter-lived). I've definitely been high on these drugs without having any of the jerks at all, but every time I had a seizure, I had taken enough to be experiencing them.

It's honestly probably not worth redosing pregabalin in the middle of the second day, anyway. The second day of these drugs is always noticeably weaker in goodfeels than the first no matter how much one tries to escalate the dose (it kinda doesn't even feel like it's dose-dependent at all -- it's like you reach a ceiling on that second day), and the third day is never worth an attempt.

Glad someone else experiences it! I have long running health anxiety related to my heart, it’s why I never got on with stims and even had to quit weed cause of it. My resting hr used to be low 60’s or high 50’s, but I worked out all the time. Need to figure out my baseline now I’m out of shape and been laying in bed all day for months.

I’m not gonna push for a third day, the redosing today maybe intensified it slightly? It’s honestly hard to tell. I didn’t quite get that same strange, yet really nice high from yesterday though.

Do you get a comedown from pregablin?

The jerks have mostly settled now but yeah I know I was getting into seizure territory. I’ve had seizures before in alchohol withdrawal too and I think if you’ve had them before you’re more prone? I think I’m gonna take atleast a week off and then do 600 and try not to redose, I’ve found them pretty moreish though

Yeah, the increased heart rate feeling happens literally every time for me. That's the kind of thing that would normally send me into a bit of a panic, but I've actually never worried about it when it's been from these drugs. I guess it's just that it also zaps most of my anxiety away before it gets to that point.

I've never had any comedown from them, other than possibly feeling a bit more tired the day after, but even that's probably just that I don't wanna go to bed on time when I'm having a great day. Haven't really heard anyone else mention anything before, either. There's a withdrawal syndrome I've been told can get quite nasty, but you're not gonna get that from just two days, if you're someone who'd be susceptible to it at all.
