If I tell the docs I'm buying pregablin and valium online hell go nuts and take me off pregablin all together and ur right I do need to calm down I'm a massive worrier n I panic xxx this site is a huge help, only found it a few dats ago xxxxxx

You could switch to gabapentin. It's similiar drug but much weaker, it should be fairly easy to drop off.
I did like 4500mg a day for 3 weeks and had no withdrawals.

Okay, where are you from?
I need this information so i know are the doctors government agents or actual doctors.
Also, you might get more appropiate help if you post things like how long has your habit been going on, how old are you and your direct home adress.
 
I'm not gonna give my full address out but am in UK. Pregablin habits been going on for few weeks. I'm 33 years old x

You can quit it 100% cold turkey. The adress thing was just a joke, don't take me too seriously.
If you had given your adress i would have sent you a bomb.

I'm in the UK and if you tell the doctors you'll be put on a "do not prescribe list"

Hi Sarah,

I have been taking pregabalin 600mg daily for chronic pancreatitisfor a couple of years, it works well for nerve pain but I believe the dose for mood stabilisation may be as high as 900mg daily. Anyway I have run for about 18 months taking 1200mg every other day and it managed my pain and lifted my mood, of course eventually the tolerance caught up with me so now I am taking 1200mg every 3 days and 300mg a day in between if I feel the pancreas begining to kick off, I am prescribed morphine for it as well but that's another story, so pregabalin builds tolerance at an astonishing rate however it can be slowed down by giving it a couple of days rest, I plan my use around what I need to do and just having it in the locker for if I need to go out and interact etc.. it's great for social anxiety. I am currently trialing Phenibut for the days off pregab but I haven't concluded that yet.
So yes try taking a break of 1 or 2 days in-between doses and you may find it regains by a bit of the desired effect. Talk to your GP about using pregabalin for mood stabilisation and they might be receptive to increasing the dose.

Take care and hit up the blue-lighters if your mood is low, they seem to be a really supportive group with everyone's best interests at heart.

R u prescribed pregablin? I'm prescribed but only 100mg, I'm feeling low right now n just wanna pop a 300mg but I'm trying to lower n get back onto my prescribed dose. It's so hard, trying not to take a pill when you know you'll feel better but I'm trying to be strong, just so hard

Yes I am prescribed 600mg per day which I believe is the maximum dose for nerve pain and it works brilliantly for that, prior to the pregabalin I would be in bed for days in agony, it literally felt like a knitting needle was being pushed out from my pancreas. The mood enhancing effect is just a bonus, as I said before though I think the max dose for therapeutic mood stabilising is 900mg but definitely try to take a day off or a day on 100mg but the 100mg will still top up the tolerance a bit, one day off and one day in worked for me for about 18months, I have taken a dose of pregabalin today and I feel great, I last took it on Sunday and I won't take another dose until Sunday I am planning to take some Phenibut tomorrow and see how that goes, I am currently tweaking the dose of that because when I took too much I did not like the side effects so I have tweaked it down for tomorrow.

How much pregabalin did you buy online? It sound like your taking 600mg a day? What will happen when the online pregabs run out? Are you able to get more so you can taper down or do you already have enough?

Hey, yh iv enough to taper down, but as I said I'm prescribed 100mg for anxiety n hoping to get it upped to 20pmg but iv been stupid, bought 150mg and 300mg pills n most days took around 600mg, so far iv took 175mg I'm trying today to take no more than 300mg in order for that to help me taper off, or is that toobig a jump? If it is I'll take a bit more n taper but more slowly x

Also Sarah look at it this way, you are more than half way through the day and if you can hold off the higher dose (300mg) pregabalin will work much better and last longer tomorrow I have found the medication to be useless for mood enhancement if taken everyday, but even 1 day off makes a difference and I have been. Taking 1200mg every other day for 18months and it still has a great mood lifting effect on me now every 3 days.

Fight the urge for the rest of the day and look forward to feeling great tomorrow.

Thank you, honestly, to everyone talking to me ur all making me feel better, I have no fruends or family to discuss this with u see. Just glad to not be alone, not that I want anyone else suffering too. I mean ideally I wanna be just taking my 100mg a day prescribed dose and maybe occasionally take a bit more if needed u see for occasions I socialise etc, thank you so much.. Love to all xxx
 
I have to say I spent a couple if years lurking on BL and found a huge amount of 'boots on the ground: knowledge around the medication I am taking both prescribed and self-medication. I joined because I saw that the support here is deeper than just reading other people's reports and advice. The amount of practical wisdom on this site is astounding, I don't think you will ever feel alone now your here, these guys really know their shit!
Some of the suggested medication regimes on BL I feel are often better than the doctors directions as these guys are talking from first hand experience and doctors simply don't have that knowledge.

If pregabalin is really helping you through a tough time speak with your GP about tapering it up to whatever level works, but try taking in one off one on and for me at least that slowed the tolerance massively. Ofc every human is different so it may be a case of listening to the advice on here and experimenting like I did to find the most sustainable regime. I will probably be on pregabalin indefinitely as my pancreatic condition is chronic. For mood stabilisation it will always be the battle with tolerance that happens with everything, the body is awesome at adapting to everything even when that is unwanted.😂

OK so I caved in n popped another 300mg pill, I HATE myself.. I just get so fucking anxious 😭 anyway... As iv only got 300 n 150mg pills how can I reduce my dose every 4 days by 100mg? Please help, so stressed. Iv also got to work out if iv git enough to successfully taper, sorry guys 💔
 
Lol it's cool Sarah, just relax and enjoy the effects of the pregab it's not going to do you any harm. You took it so it would level out your mood so just let it do it's magic and most of all enjoy it. We will have a look at a plan to taper down. Deep breath in through the nose for 2 seconds, hold for 4 seconds and exhale 2 seconds😁 no need to hate yourself that won't help in any way, also you haven't done anything wrong lol
 
I feel such a failure tho. I hate to be weak. I just wish I had 25mg pills so could taper more easily. N I'm worried cos everytimr I seem to take these I get pains In like my kidneys or pancreas. Scared I'm gonna O. D x p. S thanks 4 replying x
 
Ok just one fact I do know is that it's incredibly difficult to OD on pregabalin, you need to take huge doses, like many grams
