So I have been taking Pregabalin (Lyrica) for my anxiety issues but after one month i have got a huge tolerance,
so i was wondering if Vigabatrin which inhibits the catabolism of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) can potetionate the effect of Lyrica or make me reduce the dose ?

Do you live in the US? Has Lyrica been approved for anxiety yet? I'm more than ready to switch off gabapentin (Neurontin).

It sounds like that could be very plausible, but I'm not familiar with Vigabatrin. I'm curious to know though, because I'm sure it could potentiate gabapentin as well.

I think that on paper it might work, but Lyrica tolerance is very hard to diminish and normally requires a long tolerance break. I think that you'll still have continued high tolerance to the pregabalin, unfortunately. The only way to control tolerance is decrease dosage.

It is not approved for anxiety in the USA. But I was offered a script from my psychiatrist, but the dosage he wanted to give me wasn't high enough so I went to a GP and got it rather easily. I use it in high dosages for recreational purposes only and I quite enjoy the effects.

I agree with this.

You have to decrease your dosage or stop the pregabalin (lyrica) to decrease tolerance. In theory I could see how that combination could aid in a tolerance decrease. In practice though it would not so much be that it's actually lowering tolerance but rather requiring a smaller pregabalin dose to achieve the same effects.

Pregabalin is a relatively new drug, with an anonymous mode-of-action, it's difficult to try and guess what would work and what wouldn't to decrease its tolerance. If it's in someways a GABA-agonist then I would be skeptical that anything can lower its tolerance, much like benzodiazepines.

I could see this creating an even worse problem with your tolerance. Synergism will only go so far.

@hangyourhead: I'm sort of half ass prescribed it for anxiety, but I also have severe chronic pain, so perhaps this is why as well. It doesn't do much of anything for me anymore at all really. Not unless I take a hefty dose, but that leads to using up the Rx too quickly.

Again, as stated, it might work in practice, it might not. Depends if they have some overlapping properties. The only to find out is to try it.
